1) Maxine Brown is an American soul singer.
2) Maxine Brown was an American country music singer and member of The Browns.
1) Maxine Ella Brown (born 18 August 1939, in Kingstree, South Carolina) is an American soul singer.
She began singing as a child, performing with two New York based gospel groups when she was a teenager. In 1960, she signed with the small Nomar record label, who released the smooth soul ballad "All in My Mind" late in the year. The single became a hit, climbing to number two on the R&B charts (number 19 pop), and it was quickly followed by "Funny", which peaked at number three. Brown was poised to become a star, and she moved to ABC-Paramount in 1962, but left the label within a year and signed to the New York based, uptown soul label, Wand, in 1963.
Brown recorded her best work at Wand, having a string of moderate hits for the label over the next three years. Among these were the Carole King / Gerry Goffin song "Oh No Not My Baby", which reached number 24 on the pop charts; "It's Gonna Be Alright"; and several duets with Chuck Jackson. However, the label focused much of their attention on Dionne Warwick, leaving Maxine Brown to toil in semi-obscurity.
In 1969, she left Wand and signed first with Commonwealth United and then Avco Records, but her later recordings met with little commercial success. Despite her lack of hits, Brown is acknowledged as one of the finest R&B vocalists of her time, capable of delivering soul, jazz, and pop with equal aplomb.
2) Maxine Brown (April 27, 1931 – January 21, 2019) was an American country music singer who was originally a member of the successful 1950s trio the Browns, before a brief solo career.

I just couldn't give you
The love you needed
I told you I still loved him
And you couldn't thrill me
The way that he did
I said that he would always be
The only man in the world for meBut baby
It's gonna be all right
It's gonna be all right
The love you've shown me
Has made it so easy to forget about him
You made me see
I could live without him
When my heart was filled with sadness
How soothing it was having you to go to
The tender love you offered
Was something that I just couldn't say no to
From just a spark my love has grown
Now it burns for you alone
And I know
It's gonna be all right
It's gonna be all right
The love you've shown
has made it so easy to forget about him
You came and led me
out of darkness and into light
and I know baby
It's gonna be all right
Maxine Brown's song It's Gonna Be Alright tells the story of a woman who is conflicted between two men. When she met the man who is now her partner, she told him that she was still in love with her ex and was unable to fully commit to him. However, after the man showed her love and tenderness, she began to forget about her ex and realize that she could live without him. She acknowledges that the love he has shown her has helped her to get over her ex and to move on to a better future with him.
The chorus of the song, "It's gonna be all right," is a message of hope and optimism for the future, despite the difficulties and challenges that the singer faces. The song suggests that love can conquer all, even the pain of a broken heart. By choosing to be with the man who loves her, the singer is able to embrace the love he has to offer and start a new chapter in her life.

I saw her sing this at our Regal Theater in the mid 1960s ... I know I was in High School. God, we witnessed some wonderful and legendary people perform there with out realizing it. Always busy on that corner in Chicago. ❤
@BlindFocus1

King and Goffin created this Soul masterpiece.
Maxine sang it with the great tenderness and emotion the lyrics evoke.
Arrangement, orchestration and background singers - exemplary.
I first played this when I was in college in 1965, and love it even more today.
@SouLoveReal
The background singers are the Sweet Inspirations featuring Cissy Houston (Whitney's mom).
