I said Lord here's the total of what I done
I am presenting to God the sum total of my life's work, acknowledging that it includes mistakes as well as successes, but I have tried my best with the resources available to me.

I have not always made the right choices, but I recognise that doing good and making mistakes are both part of the human experience.

But I did the best I could from where I come from
Despite limitations and obstacles, I have made the most of the circumstances and environment I was born into.

I feel a sense of pride for what I have achieved, but remain grounded in humility and gratitude for the opportunities and blessings that have contributed to my success.

I understand that pride and humility are not mutually exclusive, and that one can simultaneously take pride in one's accomplishments while remaining humble in light of one's imperfections.

At the end of my life, I hope to look back and feel a sense of pride for what I have accomplished, but recognize that the ultimate measure of my success is how I treated others and the impact I had on the world.

I am referring to the end of my life and the final assessment of my legacy.

Oh, I made the most from what I knew then
I have maximized my potential and resources to the best of my ability at each stage of my life.

But if I lived it over I'd do the same again
If given the chance, I would make the same choices and follow the same path that has led me to where I am today.

I am striving to live a life that meets God's expectations and honour the talents and opportunities that have been given to me.

But You know I'm only human, You created me
I am acknowledging that despite my best efforts, I am imperfect and subject to the limitations of my humanity, and that it is only through God's grace that I am able to achieve what I have.

Well I'm humbled by You and thankful oh Lord
I am grateful for the blessings and opportunities that have been bestowed upon me by God, and it is through these that I have been able to achieve what I have.

I studied Your life and Your holy word
I have drawn inspiration and guidance from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible as a source of wisdom and direction in my own life.

But I hold my head just a little high
While I maintain a posture of humility and gratitude, I also take pride in my accomplishments and recognise the value of self-confidence.

'Cause I'm proud that I got on with this given life
I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment for having taken advantage of the opportunities presented to me in life and persevering through the challenges along the way.
