Your perspective of the family is clear and uncomplicated.

Well, we just left our therapist
We recently had a therapy session.

I thank God or that angel
I'm grateful for the therapist's help and guidance.

She points out our individualities
The therapist has encouraged us to acknowledge and accept our differences as a family.

Each puzzle piece, while unique alone
Each person in the family is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Must calibrate and shift just so
We need to work together and adjust our behaviors in order to fit together as a family.

Our edges can fill each others’ holes
Our differences can complement and support each other.

We’re a jigsaw, baby, both you and I on lead
We are in charge of putting the pieces of the family together.

Capable to cut apart or curve this family
We have the ability to make or break the family with our actions.

I know we each have very different personalities
We are aware that we are all unique and have individual traits.

Let's figure it out, no cutting out now
We need to work together and find a solution without giving up.

You know the devil loves the defeated
We should not give in to negative thoughts or actions, as it can cause harm to the family.

I float with the slightest breeze
I am carefree and easy-going.

A hard workin man & a rose glass colored dreamer
Describes the two parents, one who works hard and one who has a positive and idealistic mindset.

So if dreamin hard don't pay the bills
If being idealistic doesn't bring financial stability.

And slavin away don't pay off either
If working hard without balance or understanding doesn't help the family either.

It seems to me we’re a puzzle that needs shaping
We need to adjust our behaviors in order to fit together properly as a family.

Theres got to be some inbetween where we all know we can come together
We need to find a common ground where we can all feel comfortable and work as a team.

A place where we know its safe to be ourselves
We need to create a space where everyone can express themselves without fear of judgment or rejection.

‘Cuz they look to us to understand
As parents, we need to provide guidance and support for our children.

They look to us for how to measure
Our children look up to us to learn how to behave and navigate the world.

everybody else, so let's give ‘em something to look up to
We need to be good role models for our children and set a positive example.

We’re a jigsaw baby, we’re capable of shaping
As a family, we have the power to improve and shape our relationships with each other.

But this jigsaw baby, is also capable of breaking
If we don't work together, we could cause damage to the family and our relationships.

We need to keep working together and not give up.
