I Want You Back
McCue Anne Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Oh, my darlin', do not leave me
'Cause I'm headed for disaster
If you get on that train
I think I'm goin' down slowly
Yes, I think I'll lose control
You crucify my love
And I, I want you back
I, I want you back
Things are strange
I can't hardly think
I can't hide my emotion
I can't hold my drink
I wanna touch your skin
I wanna touch yourself
I wanna love everybody
But I, I don't love myself
'Cause I, I want you back
I, I want you back
I want us to be real
I want us to be strong
I want us to be sung
In a true love song
Na na, na na, na
Na na, na na, na
Na na, na na, na
Na na, na na, na
'Cause I, I want you back
I, I want you back
I, I want you back
I, I want you back
I, I want you back
I, I want you back

I first heard of McCue when she came through eastern Virginia probable 5 or 6 years ago. She was on the radio live promoting the show & she played this song. Liked it instantly. Ordered a CD online & when I got it only one song would play on it, none of the others, this included. A 2nd CD did no better. Gave up on it. I see she does no better on youTube with this song. WTF?
