They are managed by Prestige Management, and were signed to the Island Records label from their launch (2004) until December 2007, before creating their own label, Super Records. McFly is also the youngest band ever to have an album debut at #1.
McFly appeared in the teen comedy film Just My Luck, starring Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine, in 2006. The band played themselves in the film and released a US album, Just My Luck, which was also used as the film's soundtrack.

Hopelessly reaching
Out for this girl,
She's out of this world.
Believe me.
She's got a boyfriend
He drives me round the bend
He'd kill me.
It's been so many nights now
I find myself thinking about her now.
'Cause obviously,
She's out of my league
I'm hopin' and wishin'
She's draggin' me in and now
I know I never will be good enough for her.
No, no
Never will be good enough for her.
Gotta escape now
Get on a plane now. yeah
Afterwards lady, that's where I'll stay (yeah)
For cheating
I'll put it behind me(I'll put it behind me)
Go to a place where she can't find me. yeah.
'Cause obviously,
She's out of my league,
I'm wastin' my time
'Cause she'll never be mine
I know I never will be good enough for her.
No, no
Never will be good enough for her
She's outta my head
I never will know her again
I know I'm not good enough for her
He's good enough for her (for her, for her)
The song "Obviously" by McFly is a pop rock song about unrequited love. The singer is hopelessly infatuated with a girl who is "out of his league". He wishes that she would take notice of him, but she is already in a relationship with a marine who the singer fears. The lyrics express his frustration with the situation, but also his realization that he can never be good enough for her.
The lyrics "She's out of this world" and "She's out of my league" suggest that the girl is not just physically attractive, but also has a personality and qualities that the singer admires. He confesses that he has been thinking about her constantly, but acknowledges that he will never be good enough for her because of her relationship with the marine. The lyrics "He'd kill me" demonstrate the danger that the singer feels, as he believes that the marine would come after him if he tried to pursue the girl.
The chorus repeats the theme of the song, as the singer laments that he will never be good enough for the girl. He wants to escape and leave the situation behind, but he knows that he can't escape his feelings. The song ends with the realization that the girl is "out of his head" and he will never know her again. The last line "He's good enough for her" suggests that the singer has accepted the fact that she is in a relationship with someone else and that he needs to move on.

The great thing is Danny really had this crazy rock 'n' roll voice and it wasn't just some machine that made his voice better. So amazing! I didn't say now he doesn't have a great voice but it's differrent, and still super amazing.
