Beauty
Mead David Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All your beauty is hard to explain
Dancing shadows and light on your face
Every kiss in the world wouldn't make you feel better
What a pity to paint in your lines
Nothingยนs in me thatยนs worth one more rhyme
Could it be that weยนre both just slaves to the weather

Beauty
Where to find it
Can't be far
Beauty
Where you hiding
Tell me, I'll go where you are

Maybe martha was right when she said
Beauty colors the face of the dead
It made me wish we were back in our beds sleeping soundly
Our cheeks blushing red

Beauty
Where to find it
Can't be far
Beauty
Where you hiding
Tell me, Iยนll go where you are

O'cause every tear your silly eye bleeds
Well never fear, you never may see worse than this
I want to find a beautiful place
But maybe I forgot about today, now, here

Beauty
Where to find it
Can't be far
Beauty

Where you hiding
Tell me, I'll go where you are

Overall Meaning

The song "Beauty" by Mead David talks about the concept of beauty and how subjective it is. The lyrics convey the idea that beauty lies not only in appearance but also in the emotions and experiences that one goes through. The opening lines "All your beauty is hard to explain. Dancing shadows and light on your face" give a sense of admiration for the unique beauty of the person being referred to. The following lines suggest that even with all the kisses in the world, one cannot always make themselves feel better, indicating that beauty comes from within and not by external means.

The lyrics further explore the idea of beauty and how it is elusive and difficult to define. The lines "Could it be that we're both just slaves to the weather" imply that beauty is fleeting like the weather, and we are powerless to control it. The song also touches on the morbid concept of the beauty of death, with the line "Maybe Martha was right when she said beauty colors the face of the dead."

Overall, "Beauty" by Mead David is a thought-provoking song that delves into the complex and subjective concept of beauty. It encourages listeners to question their ideas of beauty and look beyond the surface to find true beauty in life.

Don't know if anybody cares to know, but I think I can explain the 90%.

I think there are 8 coins: 4 on the table, and 4 in the tube. If you watch his hands (mostly his left) very carefully, he almost always tosses his wrist in a way that he might be throwing the coin back into what I'm assuming is a pocket in the sleeve. The problem is, he does it so quickly and smoothly, it's like butter. For example, I'm about 73% sure the first coin disappears before he even starts setting down the other 3, but I don't know when. The last coin I believe goes into the right-hand sleeve, to be removed at the end. Now, I THINK that's how he did the 90% that didn't fool them. But, the remaining 10%? Where the coins appeared in and out of the tube? Forget it.

This is quite simply the smoothest, cleanest routine that's ever been on Fool Us. Not a wasted word or moment. I find it incredibly satisfying to watch.

He's a master at his craft. Perfectly scripted, economy of motion, amazing sleight of hand. And his intro to Penn and Teller was brilliant.

I watched it 3x in a row. Im a novice and was just blown away.

I find it ironic you say not a wasted word or moment when he says "did I say coins" for no reason lol

You could hear the coins between the 1st and 2nd revealed during the reverse segment.
