Until 2002, the frontman of the band was Alexander Wesselsky, who left the group due to creative differences and formed the band Eisbrecher with Noel Pix, another old Megaherz member.
The next album "5" (2004) featured a new singer, Mathias Elsholz. He left in 2005 and is currently the singer of another group, Die!.
Since 2007, the vocalist of Megaherz is Alexander "Lex" Wohnhaas. With him the band released Heuchler in july 2008. This was followed by a best of -compilation and a remix album in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

In January 2012 the band released their seventh studio album, Götterdämmerung.

Overall Meaning

The first verse of this song speaks of a young boy named Hänschenklein leaving home to find happiness. He goes out into the wide world in the search for his dreams but does not return. Hänschen was confident and didn't believe in evil, which led him to make a reckless choice of stopping in his car for the wrong people. Unfortunately, this decision has disastrous consequences, where they gouge his eyes out, cut his throat, castrate him, and throw him into a grave, never to be found again. The second verse breaks your heart even more as the mother of the boy weeps for him. She is in pain, not just because she has lost her child, but because she is alone in the world now without him. The final line of the song shows how devastating the event was for the mother, as she didn't even recognize her own son's body when she found it.

The lyrics are dark and disturbing, discussing in a gruesome manner what happened to a young boy, but it is also significant because it highlights the negative realities of life. Bad things can happen to good people, and sometimes, naïve and innocent people make mistakes that cost them their lives.
