Until 2002, the frontman of the band was Alexander Wesselsky, who left the group due to creative differences and formed the band Eisbrecher with Noel Pix, another old Megaherz member.
The next album "5" (2004) featured a new singer, Mathias Elsholz. He left in 2005 and is currently the singer of another group, Die!.
Since 2007, the vocalist of Megaherz is Alexander "Lex" Wohnhaas. With him the band released Heuchler in july 2008. This was followed by a best of -compilation and a remix album in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
In January 2012 the band released their seventh studio album, Götterdämmerung.

The lyrics of Megaherz's song "Mann von Welt" describe a man who is powerful and successful, but also ruthless and selfish. This man is like an Alpha male, someone who goes through every door without any problem, and doesn't stay in one place for too long. He's always looking for the next thrill and adventure, and is constantly on the move. He has the most money and possessions, and enjoys showing them off to everyone, making people envious of his life. He's like adrenaline, with his blood burning like gasoline, always ready for action.
The song expresses the idea that this man is only interested in himself, and he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, even if it means trampling over other people. He's not interested in building things up, only in destroying them. He treats women badly, and sees everything as a competition, with only winners and losers. He is a man of the world, but not in a good way, as he only cares about himself and his own interests. In the end, he is called a "Wichser," which is a German insult that can roughly be translated as "jerk" or "wanker."
