Zeit
Megaherz Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Zeit- Oh, gib mir Zeit
wieder aufzustehen
The lyrics to Megaherz's song "Zeit" contemplate the passing of time and the idea of feeling lost or stuck in life. The singer expresses a desire to pause time and stop marching to the beat of everyone else's drum. They express a feeling of apathy and disinterest in continuing to live life in the same way as everyone else, as time continues to pass by, day after day, minute after minute. The singer contemplates the inevitability of death and how quickly life seems to pass, wondering "what can I still do?" They express a desire to understand what makes life worth living, and to see clearly once again.
The lyrics of "Zeit" are particularly poignant in their reflection of the human experience of feeling lost and uncertain in the face of time passing. The singer's yearning for clarity and understanding is relatable to many, and the song serves as a reminder of the importance of taking the time to reflect on life's bigger questions.
