After taking part in the competition, Meleka went on to appear on the track 'Scars' by Basement Jaxx, which also featured UK rapper Chipmunk and American singer Kelis. This was followed by an appearance on UK artist Don Eβs song Time Is Now, also featuring ex-Sugababe Mutya Buena.
Melekaβs debut single 'Go', a UK Funky song produced by Crazy Cousinz, was released in September 2009 and reached the BBC 1Xtra A List as well as being played on KISS FM, Choice FM and Galaxy Network. 'Go' was also featured as Urban Record of the Month by Mixmag.
