I was about 11 years old when this season was on. I remember I liked this performance (and the outfit LOL) then and I still do. Carmen was definitely the underdog but looking back, she was really good. Thanks for uploading! 😊

Lmao, I still remember Randy´s harsh comments from this week. But he was right, such as Simon.. It was a ok performance from her/one of her best efforts, but it was still miles away from the others/the original (she shouldnt even come close to a song sang by Taylor Dayne). That last note....ouch.

I mean obviously it's tough to take on Taylor Dayne but I didn't think it was horrible, just a nice performance. Was expecting her to butcher 1:22 but she did alright there.

Carmen is the most questionable contestant to make into the finals on the show period. Not just based on her talent (cause than she would have some serious competition) but on the fact that she didnt made into the semi finals! She was eliminated in hollywood and randomly brought back on the wildcard night (probably to please Simons fetish), delivery a subpar performance and still be arbitrarily choosen as a finalist by Simon, despiste the others keep saying she wasnt ready to make into the show.

It took the public to put her in the bottom and a sequence of really bad performances for Simon to be honest with her. Before he picked her as a wildcard from hollywood and was all about how a great country singer she was. Randy was the one that since the beginning said she wasnt ready for the competition. I heard her singing recent and she got really better. Maybe if they kept her as a hollywood cut, she could have taken some sing lessons and done a better job a few seasons after this one.

I remember she sounded quite well.. except for the vibrato..it was more like a warble. Still I remember she was unique..as in her tone and emotion.

Randy was the best judge on the first like 4 seasons, when he was allowed to be honest. Too bad that as the seasons went by, he became more and more a producers puppet/a character dropping just the same catch phrases.

Yeah this was bad. She was pitchy throughout the entire song and was not in key with her high notes. I do have to agree with simon and Randy that she really was not close to what it took to win ai but it was better than previous performances
