They have a repertoire of 12 songs appoximately, one of them a version of Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby"; tracks were recorded at the home studio of one member of Mendetz. They played live a few times in Barcelona, at Sala Mono, the KGB, Sala Spay9,La Báscula,etc.. and they have been the best Demo of 2005, according to Mondosonoro magazine.
In their lyrics the talk abot future sex, to dignify lost actors from de 80's,to remember ironically Chimo Bayo and comment the absence in identity of the XII century no-subjects plunged in grey,in fashion,in the fake communication. Mendetz keep trusting in old robots, in honest Casios, to keep the legacy of the feelings and human.
Mendetz evoke, to rhythm of broken keys of casio, a past redressed in an unavoidable future, never sweeping to frantic rhythms the memories of a lived yesterday.
Their sound and themes are very reminiscent of Duran Duran.

four hundred (and) ninety two
A lot of things have changed,
And sexuality too.
Vigorexic musculated man
Anorexic operated girls
Are the population of this world...
But they cannot have sex!
(There's) no more contact,
No more touch
No more passion, no more vice,
Now there's a sexual device, go!
Orgasmatron
Orgasmatron.
They cannot have sex,
But they can have a faked orgasm.
Sex is electric,
Sex in the future.
All is artificial, material, technical
In twenty four ninety two.
It's been a long time since the penis disappeared
And the vaginas too.
Vigorexic musculated man
Anorexic operated girls
There's nothing between their legs, no...
And they cannot have sex!
Oh, they don't need the sex...
'Cause human race
Evolved that way:
Now all is distance, all is cold,
That's why they have the orgasmatron, go!
Orgasmatron
Orgasmatron.
They cannot have sex,
But they can have a faked orgasm.
Sex is synthetic,
Sex in the future.
And now put your hands
On the orgasmatron
Let your feelings fly
And just have pleasure, come on!
Or-gas-ma-tron (sussurrat)
Orgasmatron
Orgasmatron.
They cannot have sex,
But they can have a faked orgasm.
Sex is electric,
Sex in the future.
The lyrics of Mendetz's song "FutureSex" depict a dystopian future where technology has replaced human sexuality. The song is set in the year 2492, where the human race has evolved to the point where contact, touch, and passion no longer exist. Instead, people rely on a sexual device called the Orgasmatron, which simulates a fake orgasm. The population of the world has become muscly and anorexic, and they have lost their sexual organs. Sex is now entirely synthetic and technical, and people don't need it anymore.
The song highlights how society has become increasingly focused on material possessions and personal image, where body enhancement and physical strength are the most important things. It portrays a future where people have lost their connection with one another and their emotions, leading to a cold and distant world. The lyrics suggest that human evolution has taken a step back, where technology has replaced genuine emotions and human interaction.
In conclusion, "FutureSex" is a commentary on how technology can go too far and be detrimental to human interactions and emotions. The song warns about the dangers of relying too much on technology, which can end up alienating us from each other and emotionless.
