On this parade you're marching in called life
You'd start to wonder if someone out there's got your number
Well, hold your head up, breathe in deep, remember
Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Wondering if the sun will ever shine
Before you go and convince yourself you cannot make it
Well, hold your head up, breathe in deep, remember
Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
There's a love much stronger than everything that holds you down right now
Sayin', ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
So next time when you tell yourself this isn't worth it
Hold your head up, breathe in deep, remember
Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Well there's a love much stronger than everything that holds you down right now
Sayin', ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Well there's a love much stronger no matter what holds you down right now
Sayin', ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright
Yeah, it's gonna be alright
It's gonna be, it's gonna be alright
Count it pure joy when the whole world comes crashin'
Hold you head up and keep on dancin'
The song "Alright" by MercyMe is an encouraging and uplifting anthem about persevering through difficult times. It opens with the notion of rainy days marching on this parade we call life, and how it can make us feel like we're being singled out. But despite these struggles, the song urges us to hold our head up, breathe in deep, and remember that everything will be alright. The chorus repeats this message with the lyrics "Ooh, ooh, you know it's gonna be alright" and emphasizes the idea that there is a love much stronger than everything that is currently holding us down. This love can help us get through any challenging situation, no matter how overwhelming it may seem in the moment.
The song's message is particularly impactful during times when people are feeling isolated, disconnected, or uncertain. It encourages listeners to remember that they are not alone and that they can find solace and strength in love. The lyrics also provide a counterpoint to the world's negativity, reminding us that it's important to remain hopeful and positive, even when things seem bleak. This song's message is one that resonates with people all over the world who are looking for a glimmer of hope during challenging times.
