Crazy Enough
MercyMe Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Call me crazy but what if we learn
To love our brother for nothing in return?
Oh how the rules would change

Reaching out to the ones who need help
Treating them as you first would treat yourself
Now that would be insane
[Chorus]
It may just be crazy enough
To work if we could only love
What if we somehow changed the world?
It may just be crazy enough

Is it so strange to think that one day
we will truly see everyone the same
Oh good we be so kind? (could we be so kind?)

To sing along when life's playing their tune
And cry with them when their hearts broken in two
Have I lost my mind?

[Chorus]

Oh, have I gone mad
Believing that love still has a chance?

[Chorus]

It may just be crazy enough

It may just be crazy enough
It may just be crazy enough, oh

Augh, I missed yesterday, but here is today's #songoftheday

This song is kind of strange to listen to, but the lyrics are powerful. It's all about the condition of our society, where it "would be insane" to help others, expecting nothing in return. I really like this song; it's deep!

P.S. Even though the beginning of the song is pretty slow, it picks up.

"Call me crazy, but what if we learned
To love our brother for nothing in return?
Oh how the rules would change...
Reaching out to the ones who need help,
Treating them as you first would treat yourself...
Now that would be insane!
It may just be crazy enough.."

Doctor Octopus

Although I say the Ego is the only enemy, we're not meant to hate the ego but try to understand when it creeps into us.

To be able to catch it when it tries to speak for us and take control of us. It's not about being angry for what it might have caused us to do. It's just understanding that these actions weren't caused by you but by the Ego.

This is something that'll take time to learn and we must remember not to think too much on the pain it might have caused us or those around us. Just take it as a lesson and try to find different paths in future situations if they might arise.

Moving forward and learning from those mistakes instead of allowing it to keep you from having peace. All the hate and self pity needs to leave your mind, knowing Jesus Christ carries the weight of Sin for us.

It's something important to remember so we can think clearly and not be imprisoned.

We must try to examine when the ego speaks and learn what the correct response for certain situations is. There is no one correct solution and what will be mentioned is just a small example. We should learn more every day from others to see what is the correct solution to prevent the ego from flourishing in our interactions.

Allowing some space between you and the person who has been held hostage by the ego could be a correct solution. However, it may not always be our best path depending on who the person is. Some are out in the world not knowing they're being controlled by the ego, trying to prove a point, they may follow you around, feeling like they're being ignored. Walking away from them could further feed the ego and make them feel misunderstood, further promoting the argument, inciting the other person's ego as well.

Some of us may feel that we are the only ones going through these daily struggles, even though everything we're experiencing has already happened many times throughout history. Different situations call for different ways of reducing stress.

Disagreements and arguments may be ways we choose to move forward. This is absolutely the Wrong Choice and we must recognize that everyone has their own world full of different struggles. Some of us might have more situations piled up that can mess with our minds and make us extremely volatile. This is dangerous, it is important to calm down and control the situation immediately.

Apologize for any misunderstanding. Recognizing that it is not a problem but instead should be taken as a lesson is the way to achieve harmony. We all have struggles we face on a day to day basis and some people need to be spoken to correctly, rather than creating hostile environments, reducing whatever joy they may be expecting. Recognizing that a few hours of inconvenience is not the end of the world.

Understanding that problems do not exist, only situations, is Important.

What we're hoping to achieve needs to be accomplished in a matter which all parties come out learning something new, at the very least avoid serious negative outcomes. The hopeful outcome is to reduce the anger and allow it to subside. The person will come back to reason and realize they've been taken hostage by something strange. It's under complete command of the person's body and this can create unimaginable consequences. This person had lost all control of their thought process, speech and choices.

When it's someone you grew up with and shared loving moments with, it's not hard to understand when the person you know is speaking or when the ego is creeping in. Once we recognize that we all have our gloomy days, it should be easier administering the proper procedures. The ego likes making us feel like victims, working hard to make us feel depressed, converting our days into sorrow with wasteful flashbacks, when we should feel happy. Sometimes feelings can overwhelm us, making us struggle with our thoughts, believing we're drowing while undertaking our daily life actions. The ego will play with our feelings and continue to feed us more lies.

Although these scenarios may seem reasonably easy to navigate. It could also come across as arrogance and self-righteousness. Knowing how to use our words wisely and not come across as a know-it-alls is Mandatory. We don't want to keep feeding the ego, creating unnecessary anger and responses.

Acknowledging we all try to make a point instead of staying silent and listening to others, to understand their thought process. I admit I'm not used to having proper conversations, hoping to learn from this myself. I'm sure you've noticed me lose my senses in many interactions on youtube comments. This will take some time to learn.

Sins we commit and continue to commit are forgiven once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. Knowing all this doesn't automatically mean we can continue to sin and be free from judgment or punishment. Quite the opposite is actually true. Knowing these things and continuing to do bad on purpose is condemning yourself in the eyes of the lord.

It'll be impossible to ask anyone to completely change their ways in a few days, weeks or months after living for so long with it without knowing the Truth. Its a slow process that our Heavenly Father God through Jesus Christ our Savior will allow us to see and achieve. God our Heavenly Father loves every single one of us. Only because we aren't recognized by the world, doesnt mean we aren't important in his eyes.

Where there is harmony and peace the ego cannot feast.

Doctor Octopus

I'm going through this road so others don't have to experience all this themselves, don't be afraid to ask me anything. I'll make it simple and explain to anyone what our Heavenly Father God through our Savior Jesus Christ has allowed me to understand so far.

I understand not everyone is built for these things and at a certain age, these things will consume us if we aren't careful. Certain memories come back to me here and there and try not to dive far into it everyday. I know my limits and try not to force myself to remember too much of them in one day. Making sure we start the day with our Heavenly Father God and our Savior Jesus Christ and end the day with our Heavenly Father God and our Savior Jesus Christ is important.

This dive into the truth requires a strong mind and love of our Creater God and Savior Jesus Chirst. Thinking we won't need help in this journey can land us into a troubled life. Always keep him in your thoughts and allow him to help in this journey to come back out intact. I couldn't sleep properly for days in my journey, afraid of closing my eyes. This was the hatred I was allowing to build up and not addressing it properly. The medicine is seeking God and asking our Savior Jesus Christ for help maintaining stable minds. Understanding this is important in order to continue our search. Not feeding on the hate the world builds inside us.

I've spend some time in my own mind and have had time to see how the ego plays. Diving into these thoughts can be troublesome. I've been made ready by those around me growig up. Being raised in a God loving family and community has shown me how a peaceful life inside big cities should be like. I've been made a soldier by God with all the love he's surrounded me with throughout life.

Even though I can explain to you clearly how to defeat the ego in certain situations, we all have our own tough road ahead. Once you come directly after it, it will come back with a vengeance in your weakest state. Even if you do eventually understand it and are able to keep it at bay. It'll start to learn the tactics you use to supress it and will sneak in when you least expect it. This is why you must always continue to further seek our Heavenly Father God asking help from our Savior Jesus Christ throughout this journey.

Diving into this without a proper understanding of what it involves can be draining. Seeking to know exactly how the bad takes over us, is playing with fire. That journey has shown me how real the ego is and its nothing to joke with. This isn't something to take lightly, preparing is absolutely important, diving into this fight will take a lot from you depending how far you want to dig. Fight bad dreams with good thoughts. I'd suggest to flood your mind with positive feelings.

Doctor Octopus

I would fall deep into self pity and hatred of the world when my mind drifted far away and placed God to the side thinking I could take on the bad without breaking. Knowing when you've fallen and seeking help from God through Jesus Christ our Savior is most important when you do end up falling. We are human and will surely fall short a lone.

We try to shelter children by keeping them from the bad around the world. Although they need to learn what bad and good is. To see how to correct these issues in the future, they must know that every choice we take has drastic consequences to us and those around us. That the decision is ultimately up to us and we'll need to live with those choices. They will one day have to come out into the world, preparing them for what lays ahead is important.

The sooner we look for ways to properly correct them, the faster it'll be to transition into a proper life. Starting our lives in the wrong path, increases our chance to fall into a cycle that'll feel like prison. The possibility to quickly correct our ways down the road will sharply decrease. Life isn't as complicated as the world makes us believe. We're given false solutions to serious problems that increasing get worse instead of better. Understanding that a broken life is how the ego wants to keep us in this world is a good start.

We all get rebellious in our teen years, this is when all the memories of good and bad come into play. If we aren't taught this, it results in what we see today, where respect is almost needed to be purchased. It's insane to think of but it's exactly how the world has turned out. If we have money, friends surround us. Without money, who would want to hang around.

I was derailed for years but always knew what was wrong and right. This allowed me to try and make responsible decisions. Consequences were so clear and I knew the fear of God. Certain situations happen when we're not aware how humans function in the world. Everything is made clear by our Heavenly Father God through Jesus Christ our Savior.

The main thing is leaving our ignorance and understanding why certain things happen. This journey of understanding the world around turned out to be quite the hunt. Growing up in a time when internet had no restrictions, I started seeing things I couldn't believe took place in this world. As a teen, growing up exploring the world wide web allowed me to see some awful realities. These things are absolutely heart breaking and haunting. I unraveled some incomprehensible mind draining realities taking place all around us. These things can be detrimental to our brain and can certainly drive some into insanity.

Doctor Octopus

The comments I read and the people that come out reporting and discussing on serious matters shows how we haven't had proper amount of time to thoroughly examine the Victims thought process at the time.

Everyone involved are Victims and we can't lock the gate, throw away the keys and continue on with our lives. The person hurt and the person that took the regrettable actions are all Victims.

The person doesn't have control over themselves when they allow the Ego to manifest inside for so long without seeking True help. This happens in lots of places, regrettable actions are taken.

Interrogations will show how they can't recall what took over them. The spiritual fight is absolutely real. If we don't seek our Heavenly Father God through our Savior Jesus Christ in order to help us better understand ourselves, going out into the world will create unwanted situations.

The Ego feeds us lies, making us partake in such awful mindsets of creating imaginary external enemies.

The ego continues the invasion in our brains and restrains us from escaping the prison of wanting. Instead of allowing us to help one another, our desires keep us in a prison within ourselves. Creating an environment that confuses our main priorities, restraining our life's, making us powerless. Hostile environments are created to undermine efforts of progress. Increasing and enhancing the playbook of deceit since before the beginning of recorded history. The game is known by few people, while the enemy uses everything in its playbook. Keeping us in the dark as to what living a peaceful life involves. It plays the game becoming stronger and creating an army of desensitized uninformed subjects.

Feeling self pity keeps us in a hateful state of mind. Trying to drown out all joyful memories and happy interactions throughout our life. This is dangerous to cary around and allowing those thoughts to build up within us creates serious issues. We might drown our days trying to live back these past situations. It might almost seem simple but the ego will make us belive we enjoy reliving those past afflictions. Instead, we need to take all these as lessons and forget these issues caused any pain. Finding ways to avoid committing the same actions against others.

Although we can learn ways to supress the Ego, it will always be there waiting for the right time to strike. In our most vulnerable moments it will creep in like a snake.

Medication will only patch the pain until one day it completely overwhelms us and causes us to do the Unthinkable.

Seeking True help from our Heavenly Father God through our Savior Jesus Christ is the only way to help defeat and supress it for the time being.

The only real enemy is the ego, trying to create enemies which never existed to begin with. The world is our friend and family, we all cary the same ego. Although, some of us are fed different lies depending on the lives we have been living. Since it lives inside of us, it will have different tactics to desuade us from having peaceful lives. We've been given the weapon to defeat it by our Heavenly Father God through Jesus Christ our Savior. The spirit of Jesus Christ is ours to use to supress the evil thoughts the ego tries to build inside us.

Doctor Octopus

Everything I know is directly from our Heavenly Father God made possible through Jesus Christ our Savior. I see the path forward isn't violence. It's understanding the brain and how it works. This is how we release ourselves from the prison the world creates for us. If you would like for me to explain this more in detail, I'll be more than happy to share.

Growing up in the U.S.A as a child, adults always had the last say in everything no matter the situation. Adults would twist facts, making one feel less than human. Thinking what we say as children has no meaning and no actual worth. It'll break just about anyone and can cause some serious trust issues. Knowing you're saying the truth and being told to be silent and take orders without question created lasting effects. Seeing adults had the last say made me want to be a law enforcer. That's who I believed would fix everything. My small mind believed every problem would be fixed by law enforcement. Biting my time until I grew up to become an adult.

After some time, you start to question and understand things that as a child one couldn't possibly comprehend. As teens, we start seeing the world is much stranger than what we're told and fed. This make believe law and order is meant for those who aren't given the same opportunities. Laws are meant to keep populations in a state of imprisonment, pretending to create peaceful communitiies when in fact they're meant to keep certain classes down.

Violence is all we know and see growing up in the "Hood". Media feeding us hateful stories around the world instead of figuring ways to fix such issues. Creating hostile environments and confusing humans into believing that's part of life, its the main objectivem of some. Knowing who keeps this endless cycle of dystopia around the world is vital to progress and not end up in situations some strive to enchain us with.

Most songs we hear today are filled with nonsense that make our brain hostile and dull. News stations enhance these hateful mindsets that take control of our actions, making unreasonable decisions instead of allowing our brains to have control and make responsible choices.

The world around is filled with marketing that increases our consumption. Every second of our lives are filled with endless marketing with false solutions to serious issues. Pretending material objects will make our lives enjoyable, when infact it'll supress the issues for a few hours max. Waking up the next morning feeling emptier, deeper in debt.

Although the population must also strive to live on needs instead of wants. It's practically impossible when those who run the country don't care what the country turns into as long as they stay in positions of "power.  We're kept in zombie like mindsets, feeding on each others ego. Every second of our lives is filled with ads. These marketing campaigns manipulate the mind to keep us from being satisfied with what we have.

Believing that happiness can be purchased, our minds drown every sense of reason in order to achieve small satisfactions. It's how some keep us from achieving great things and becoming one as a community. This matrix of a world is controlled by few that know exactly how humans works. The ego satisfying need of approval and attention seeking drives us, instead of allowing our brains to control the body. Some folks enjoy seeing us argue with eachother over insignificant situations. Knowing how the ego works, some use this as a weapon against the populations.

Marketing products in a way that attracts the gullible masses, products they partray as being life changing. Painting products colorful with make believe joyful ads that are meant to bring out the child in us. Taking us back to the first days in a toy store, sustaining the monopolies we see today.

Keeping workers too busy to understand themselves and able to achieve self control. Thinking clearly is made impossible. The brain is kept in a prison of its own. We aren't given enough time to relax and enjoy nature. Creating loving, peaceful and joyful memories are practically kept out of reach and nonexistent. Our minds are always seeking ways to make money in order to survive or purchase "happiness".

This game goes back throughout history and most aren't given the time to explore and understand their purpose in life. I've dedicated my life to understand the brain and see how this system is kept under the shadows. Most that understand the game seek self interests instead of helping the people around them.

Not all of coarse can be placed in that category. You will find many people try to send hidden messages in movies and songs. If people would take the time to challenge their brain more, they'd realize it's hidden in secret messages. We usually enjoy the action part of movies and curse words in certain songs. Instead of listening and understanding the scenes. Most songs in mainstream radio are chosen specifically to broadcast the worst of our societies.

Everything I know is directly from God and I see the path forward isn't violence.

Everything I see and understand is from my King. I serve only him and no one else.
