It's All Right
MercyMe Lyrics

I'm a child of the King, it's all right
That's the reason I sing, it's all right
[Chorus:]
I will never be the same
'Cause I'm covered by your name
Your glorious name Jesus
And given me a peace
Beyond understanding Jesus
There'll be hard times I know, It's all right
Let Your glory be shown, it's all right
You remain on your throne, it's all right
Even though I'm unworthy, it's all right
By Your blood I am holy, it's all right
[Chorus:]
The lyrics to "It's All Right" by MercyMe are a reflection of the Christian belief in the grace of God. The song highlights the security and confidence believers feel in knowing that they are children of God. The lines "Whatever life may bring, it's all right, I'm a child of the King, it's all right," remind Christians that despite the trials of life, they can rest assured that they have a heavenly father who is sovereign and in control. The words "Your grace has set me free" and "Given me a peace beyond understanding Jesus" recognize the blessings of forgiveness and peace that come from a relationship with Christ.
The song acknowledges that life can still be difficult even for those who believe in Jesus. However, the singer remains steadfast in the knowledge that God remains on his throne, regardless of life's circumstances. The line "Even though I'm unworthy, it's all right, by your blood I am holy, it's all right" acknowledges the Christian belief that they are made righteous through Christ's death on the cross.
