In your name

Jesus You are Faithful when it seems all hope has left
And I know that I've been saved by Your grace and in Your name
bridge
And I want to be an echo of Your sweet voice
Oh Jesus be in all I am
These lyrics from MercyMe's song Your Name are a testament to the power of faith and how it can bring peace and redemption to a person's life. The verse first acknowledges the value of life itself and how even having one's breath is something to be thankful for. The lyrics then go on to express gratitude for being saved by the grace of God and in his name. The writer has found peace and redemption through his faith in Jesus Christ, and this is what he celebrates in these lyrics. The chorus reinforces the idea that everything the writer longs for has been found in the precious name of Jesus. The writer's hope and every aspiration are fulfilled through his faith in God. The second verse takes a more personal tone, with the writer acknowledging the times when all hope seemed lost. Even during the darkest of times, the writer found solace in his faith in Jesus. The bridge expresses the writer's desire to not only follow Jesus but also to be like him. He wants his life to be an echo of Jesus's voice so that everyone who hears him will know about the amazing love and grace of God.
