I got a new computer on Monday at 1:00
Singin’ do lolly do lolly shicky bum shicky bum
Logged on the Internet on Tuesday at 2:00
Singing do lolly do lolly shicky do shicky do
Wednesday at 3:00 there was an email for me
Saying “Hey baby, do a program with me.”
Thursday at 4:00 he came a knocking at my door
Singing, “Hey baby, I’m the Internet Man
Tell me how you want it and I’ll load it in your ram
Plug it in in the morning, in all day long
If you ever need a floppy with the hard drive on
I can activate your mouse, I can amplify your tone
And if you got a modem, hook it to your telephone
Because Hey baby, I’m your Internet Man."
Can you believe that? (Places?)
"Now when other fellows call just say I got you jammed."
Oh, can you imagine? Well!
My heart began a thumpin’ and my mind began to fly
And I knew I wasn’t dealin’ with no ordinary guy
So while he wasn’t talkin’ I was thinking up my plan
To let my fingers do some browsin’ on the Internet Man
Singin’ hey lolly lolly, hey lolly lolly, hey lolly lolly, git it any way you can. Hehehe, Right?
I plug it in in the morning, keep it in all day long
If you ever need a floppy with the hard drive on
I can get it with a buzz, I can get it with a ring
It’s better than the phone, cuz I’m gettin’ everything
Singin’ hey lolly lolly, hey lolly lolly, hey lolly lolly, get the Internet thing
Hahahahaha, oh, I’ve never done anything like this before!
Hey, I got mail!

The song, "TELEPHONE MAN", was some really risque stuff when it came out back in 1977. By comparison with some of today's "music", if you can call it that, it's incredibly tame. I didn't know until a few minutes ago that she was deceased. The news came as quite a shock to me. I was a fan of Meri Wilson's work.
