It was born in 1991 in Caen, Normandy. They play amusing and/or traditional songs inspired by Quebec songs. They started by singing real traditional songs and then invented new ones.
The band has a great experience of the scene and usually invite people to dance and participate.
Today, since François Boros is gone, there is no more any initial creator of the band, Emmanuel (Manu) Savinelli, Dominique Adrix (Jimi) and François Boros.
December 2006, they decided to stop (at least for a moment) their common activity, to continue each one alone.

Trois beaux canards s'y vont baignant

The lyrics of Mes souliers sont rouges' song Le Bout du Banc describe a scene in a rural area where there is a pond behind the singer’s house. His beloved waits for him at the end of the bench, while three beautiful ducks are bathing in the pond. The song notes that one of the ducks is black and there is one that is white. As they continue to sing, a son of a king goes hunting with his beautiful silver gun and shoots the white duck. The singer's sweetheart tells the king's son that he is mean since he killed the white duck.
The song appears to be about more than just a casual encounter. The chairs of the two people are at the end of the bench for a reason. This may suggest that they are hiding from the rest of the world, and the swans may represent love, innocence, and purity. The king's son's entrance disrupts this peaceful space and disturbs the natural order of love and beauty. Overall, the song speaks about the glory of nature and the power of love that can be disrupted by one's actions.
