Well the game starts in the Moscow Metro, whether that's one level or a few I will be happy. I would like another game set entirely in Moscow though as well, maybe they could make another game about the Metro 2034 book? I'm confident 4A will make a great game nonetheless.

I hated how they changed some of the sounds in Last Light when they were already perfect in Metro 2033. 2033 seriously had some of the best creature sound design. Hearing that Watcher cry was fucking terrifying.

Happy Lord okay, felt a bit better when you put it like that. But the fact how his marriage was falling apart, he sort of had an affair, how the Order of Rangers had become and how people treated Artyom....jeez. It just really put me in the dumps. I love your attention to detail! Very detailed terrain and character art. I know that this is ~11 months before release. Keep in mind: after the war, people will most likely use the most gucci and modern equipment they can find, but with these things becoming more and more rare, people will start to rely on the massive Soviet stockpiles of pouches, backpacks, gasmasks, protective clothing, armor and modify it to their needs if necessary. Maybe some "Sfera"-helmets cut and used as shoulder protection, "Modul" and "Korund" bodyarmor. Also, remember how unstable the ruins are. Whoever ventures out there should have climbing ropes, carabiners, etc. Maybe add a pouch for climbing rope called "Banan" to the game, which you can use to traverse risky sections of buildings. A hurt ankle could easily be a death sentence out there (at least in Survival Ranger Hardcore":)).
With hygiene, health, communication getting worse and worse, stations might crumble due to epidemics without others noticing it, especially the rather unimportant on the edges of the Metro system. Generally, I like the atmosphere of these stations, on the edge of the abyss and unknown, the abandoned Metro station further out.
Concerning the Aurora. I believe, and other Metro-authors agree, that the wooden sleepers will very likely be missing because Stalkers will pull them out of the trackbeds to bring firewood into the underground. Many sleepers in urban areas are often made of concrete, however in freight stations, depots, etc they are very, very often out of wood. A track without sleepers is not usable.

I realy enjoyed the underground scene and I loved it in Metro when you weren't scared of something particular, but simply the unknown. The tension that builds up is different in my opinion.

Honestly, what’s really interesting is the devs were originally planning the Moscow level to be much more ambitious, being much like the polis Kshatriya level in Last light but this concept was scrapped at the last minute and I think the level was divided up, into the Moscow level we got, the dead city and the two colonels DLC! I think this makes sense because the game came out a few months late because they probably had too redo some of the voice acting and rework the story at the last second and honestly if that’s true they did a great job!

This game looks so good it's fucking insane. The Metro franchise were the most atmospheric games I've ever played and looks like this is only going to be better. In some fucked up way I was so immersed in that world I kind of wanted to live in it.

I don't know how much I like the fact that a "metro" game is leaving the metro. I guess you're trying to stay true to the books or something, and if that's the case then fine. But I would suggest that sometime you make a metro game which is semi openworld and has the entire metro mapped out.

Metro last light didn't "differ slightly from the books". At the end of metro 2033, and confirmed at the start of 2035, the Dark Ones are dead, gone forever, exterminated, completely and wholely wiped out. So how the hell do you call an entire game about saving a Dark One infant after that fact a slight difference?

Firstly, no this isn't anything like 2035.
Secondly, It's great that it isn't since metro 2035 was trash. Biggest waste of 25€ in recent memory.
FYI the author retconned the mutants, the threat of radiation and the supernatural elements out of the story because some rain washed it all away. I wish I was kidding.
It's also impossible for this to be metro 2036, since many other things don't match up with the end of 2035. Read up some spoilers for more info.
