But I enjoyed it enough to defend it from it's more outrageous haters; people like Fandom Tribal (look his channel up). Besides that I certainly disagreed with their god awful Creation Club. Additionally I somewhat feared Bethesda's downfall even before they announced 76 as they were clearly, intentionally trying to implement microtrasactions/live services.

Yeah, we will see if this game fails that hard. I think it won't because the game itself looks promising and I, as many other people also do, don't think Steam is the center of the universe. Only time will tell who is right and who is wrong. The point being a lot of people wait till the paycheck before the game drops to pre-order or the paycheck after. It's quite wrong of Deep Silver to make such a drastic change only a few weeks before the game is available on Steam 2 then jump on an exclusivity deal to make more money. Epic games has been available for free for several months they had time and they chose now.

The publisher could've made the game available on both Steam and Epic Game Store. That way gamers would have a choice. Since the game is cheaper on Epic, a lot of people would've bought it there anyway. I like Epic bringing some competition to Valve but you don't compete by taking away the choice of the consumers. You compete by offering a superior service and better pricing to get customers to your platform.

Hopefully they'll realize this is wrong and put it back on Steam sooner. I'm not buying it till then.

yeah, or you know, by offering exclusive quality products, just like console exclusive titles such as red dead 2 or kingdom hearts 3 or anything nintendo brings to the table
and to play them you would have to buy an entirely new system instead of just downloading a different program, similarly to assassin's creed where you have to use the ubisoft launcher to play the game
i mean, i get it, we want all our pc games in a single library, but what is stopping your from manually adding the game to the library yourself?

Injected DRMs (like Denuvo) almost always result in bad performance. Not only that but i'm pretty sure that Denuvo collects data illegally considering some of the traffic that gets popped out of your PC. I don't care for the Epic thing, i almost always buy a game after a year in its release, personal practice, but the Denuvo thing is disappointing.

I ain't buying this on Crapic Games Store, it's missing a bunch of features that makes steam what it is, they dont even track achievements...you migrated for what, 10 dollars?
Devs need to understand, steam cuts 30% of because people love steam, it has features that people need and love, its polished, and it works flawlessy. Its the launcher of choice for every PC gamer on earth. You as a publisher are paying a premium to get feature on the best launcher there is on steam and get exposure and sell alot of copies. ;)

Steam doesn´t take 30% because people love it.
Steam takes 30% because they can.

Point is the Game Library and Launcher market is an oligopoly with very few competitors and a massive customer (gamers + developers) base and Steam has by far the biggest market share. If it wasn´t for Uplay, Epic, Origin etc. they´d take more than 30% - because they could with the bargaining power they have.
It´s no surprise games and ingame content is getting more expensive while the publishers are adding to the development costs by getting greedy. If I was the developer of an AAA title I´d not accept more than 5% for the small service Steam etc. actually do - even Amazon is only taking 15% from their sellers. ;)
