Michael Bublé’s introduction to the music of the swing era came to him through his grandfather, who filled his grandson’s ears with the sounds of The Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and others. As Bublé eagerly absorbed the recordings, he began to realize that he wanted to be a singer and that this style of music, virtually foreign to his own generation, was what he wanted to perform.
With his grandfather’s assistance, Bublé soon learned a whole catalog of tunes and gained experience and exposure by singing as a guest with several local bands. While still in his teen years, he won the Canadian Youth Talent Search, released several independent albums, and performed in a musical review titled Swing that traveled across the U.S. It wasn’t long before Bublé was introduced to Grammy-winning producer David Foster during a famous Canadian wedding of Brian Mulroney’s daughter Caroline Mulroney. He later signed his first major recording contract with Reprise Records after that encounter.
The two Canadians began work on a debut album that would incorporate Bublé’s aptitude for pop standards into songs that spanned several decades. His self-titled debut disc was released in early 2003, and featured jazzy takes on old standards like “Fever” and “The Way You Look Tonight” as well as newer classics like “Moondance” and “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart”.
He finished off 2003 with an EP of holiday material, Let It Snow, and began 2004 with the live CD/DVD set Come Fly With Me. In 2005, It’s Time was a number one hit in Canada, Japan, Italy, and Australia, and made the top ten of both the UK and US. Later that year he released the live album Caught in the Act. More recently, Michael received a 2010 Grammy Award for 'Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album' for 'Michael Bublé Meets Madison Square Garden.

Never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a fever that's so hard to bear
You give me fever when you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever in the the morning
Fever all through the night
Sun lights up the daytime
Moon lights up the night
I light up when you call my name
And you know I'm gonna treat you right
You give me fever when you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever in the the morning
Fever all through the night
Everybody's got the fever
That is something you all know
Fever isn't such a new thing
Fever started long ago
Oh, heat it up
Romeo loved Juliet, Juliet she felt the same
When he put his arms around her
He said, "Julie, baby, you're my flame"
Thou givest fever
When we kisseth
Fever with thy flaming youth
Fever, I'm a fire, fever, yeah, I burn forsooth
Captain Smith and Pocahontas had a very mad affair
When her Daddy tried to kill him
She said, "daddy, oh, don't you dare"
He gives me fever with his kisses
Fever when he holds me tight
Fever I'm his Missus
Daddy won't you treat him right, go
Now you've listened to my story
Here's the point that I have made
Chicks were born to give you fever
Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade
They give you fever when you kiss them
Fever if you live and learn
Fever 'til you sizzle
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
The song "Fever" by Michael Bublé is a rendition of the classic fever song first made popular by Peggy Lee in 1958. The lyrics incorporate various references to historical lovers who had a fiery love affair that left them feeling "feverish". The opening lines of the song express the inability to measure or express one's love or care for someone else, but once the subject of the song (presumably a lover) puts their arms around the singer, they get a feeling of fever that's overwhelming. This fever intensifies through all times- morning, noon, and night when being with the lover.
The next section of the song sets the stage for the foundation of love being a timeless and universal feeling, much like fever. The chorus emphasizes the power of a kiss from the lover, which brings out a fever that engulfs the author. The song then recalls notable love stories such as Romeo and Juliet and Captain Smith and Pocahontas, hinting that their love affair ignited an intense feverish feeling. The lyrics then emphasize that everyone gets the fever when they are with someone they love and who loves them back.
Overall, the lyrics channel an irresistible feeling of passion when people are with someone they love, and that feeling is so intense it brings about "fever". The intensity of desires, the passion of love, the sheer joy of being with someone you care about is portrayed in this song.
