Michael Bublé Feat. Naturally 7 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(Every street corner you'll hear, you can hear)

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style
In the air there's a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you'll hear, you can hear

Silver bells, silver bells, silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, ring-a-ling, hear them sing, hear them sing
Soon it will be Christmas day

Strings of streetlights even stop lights blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch, this is Santa's big scene
And above all this bustle you'll hear, you can hear

Silver bells, the corner Santa Claus, silver bells, is busy now because
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, you'll hear it in the air, hear them ring, you'll hear it everywhere

Soon it will be Christmas day
Very soon it will be Christmas day

Well, my friends, just as you can be sure
That Christmas falls on the 25th of December every year
So can you be sure that we are going to have Christmas songs
So while the holiday song seasons' in full swing
I'd like to offer my own musical salute to Satan Claus
Bring out those silver birds written

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style
In the air there's a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you hear

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring a ling, hear them ring
Soon it'll be Christmas day

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring a ling, hear them ring
Soon it'll be Christmas day

I have such amazing memories of this song, I live in England, and around winter time your breath makes clouds, and all the grass is wet with dew. My secondary school always made us do cross country when it was winter, they understood it was pretty cold and miserable, so they let us listen to music on our phones as we ran the dewy field. I didn't really mind the cold as I really enjoy winter so I jogged quite happily. All I had on my old crappy phone back then were a few Michael Buble Christmas songs, Silver Bells, Frosty the snowman and a few others. Silver Bells was my favourite of the bunch so I had it on repeat. Just peacefully jogging around a field, the calming smell of morning dew, the faint laughter of classmates in the distance. I listened to this song on repeat every day of cross country, for all of the five years I was there, this was the song, the song I listened to and enjoyed. This song always takes me back to a time where things were much simpler.

This song will forever and always hold a special place in my heart.
