And let's not forget the band/orchestra..they did an amazing job too. I can hear every instrument. So clear, so crisp, simply S'wonderful.
And I've always listened to the song but never delved into the meaning of the song... never actually thought about what the lyrics meant. I gained a whole new respect for this song..because of Michael❤

The music is good, yes, but I still prefer more minimalist renditions of the background music, like shet baker. My main issue with this cover of the song puts too much emphasis on the music, and the words. This is a very melancholic piece that sounds best when sung softly, with soft and gentle background music. He did astounding when it came to vocal work, yes, but I feel he didn't capture the essence of the song in and of itself as due to the show-offy-ness of the vocals. Great for a talent show? Yes. Good if you want to grab the hearts of listeners? Not so much.
This is my opinion, and it should not be stated as fact.

The reason why you hear every instrument is because of a sound engineer that worked on this record. It's not because of the orchestra. :)
