BLOOD
Michael C. Hall Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've heard upon this earth
Speaks righteousness for me and stands in my defense
Jesus it's Your blood
Your blood speaks a better word than all the empty claims
I've heard upon this earth
Speaks righteousness for me and stands in my defense
What can wash away our sins?
And what can make us whole again?
Nothing but the blood
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
And what can wash us pure as snow?
Welcomed as the friends of God
Nothing but Your blood
Nothing but Your blood King Jesus, King Jesus
Your cross
Your cross testifies in grace
Tells of the Father's heart to make a way for us
Now boldly we approach
Not earthly confidence, it's only by Your blood
What can wash away our sins?
What can make us whole again?
Nothing but the blood
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can wash us pure as snow?
Welcomed as the friends of God
Nothing but Your blood
Oh, nothing but Your blood King Jesus
Oh, King Jesus, King Jesus
Redeemed, renewed
Made whole, freed, restored
You have life
Made all clean

It drives me crazy when an audience doesn't know how lucky they are to be in the presence of greatness. This is a real actor and artist, bursting with talent. And has his own agonizing personal story. Those who know him are in awe. Y'all should check him out.

For me, the best part about Dexter is the inner monologue and knowing what Dexter is thinking inside.

Same thing with “YOU” it’s makes you reason and at times feel/ feel bad for a serial killer. Almost like you can relate. These 2 shows do a phenomenal job of that.

It's a great way to display novels on screen. Sex and the city also had the inner monologue.
