Now, my friends, let us count the number of times we got the chills during this musical piece: 3

There were chills in my body, in numbers beyond counting!

the music touches our souls because we feel connected to it. Because it represents the journey that we, and our ancestors have taken to bring us to the world we are in today.

It's rare that you'll find something outside of classic literature or the Greats in painting or architecture that makes you realize just how *awesome* the human species can be. This opening piece symbolizes all of our potential and our ability to survive and thrive - and it's arresting. Simply beautiful.

Yet we are poisoned by greed, selfishness, double-think, and unwarranted superstition. Ideologies manipulated in the hands of old men seek to corrupt and destroy. Taking what remains for themselves. For all that man is capable of, it is he himself who poses the greatest enemy, and the greatest threat to a future that could come to transcendence itself.

@Natheria While all this is true, I do tend to think that after coming to this assessment, the best thing we can do is refocus on our inner nobility. I'm not responsible for the greed and callousness of those too afraid to face hardship, or those who'd put their own well-being ahead of others' - but I can work to mitigate it. I can work to leave something of an imprint behind myself, like a set of footsteps, that tells others I tried to be the best possible version of myself I could hope to be.
I can try and ensure they'll see I did what I did not for my own benefit, but so that future generations might prosper, or at least look upon me as someone who would've been worthy of respect, if I'd still been alive.

@Xeno Shvetsario 🌺 🕊 Hm. Yeah. Expressing opinions, being glad to be human and alive - it's all dumb shit, right? I guess I'll just follow your wise observation and go huff paint fumes or something.
