The moment I heard "Amazing" all that I could think of was in which song I had heard the "dadadadada" thing before....

....but of course if you are a hard core George Michael fan of course it will be impossible to convince you - especially since you have probably never heard the David Bowie song before.

I respect George Michael's work, though a lot if it was too smooth and sugar coated for my taste.

Hell, the easiest thing for a musician is to chant the buzz word "Yeah"....

....but with him it came out all wrong and flimsy

December 25, 2016...I was in San Francisco for the holiday and awoke to a text from one of my best friends telling me that George Michael had died. I felt a chill from within myself, but couldn’t stay in bed. I sat by the window, and as I peered out at the gloominess of the San Francisco Bay morning, I thought of how his music had been such a distinct aspect in my life. His music was there whenever times were happy and light as well as dark and lonely. I said a quiet thank you for all he gave of his life, and I wished him peace. I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but when people ask which celebrity death hit me the hardest, it was George Michael hands down.

This was so ahead of it's time! I remember watching this video in 2006 when I was 20 and pregnant with my now 17 yr old daughter! I was so scared and uncertain of my life then, and George had always been a voice of calm to me even as a young child, and watching and listening now in 2023.....just blows my mind! He was amazing and his music always brings a smile to my face, and now a tear to my eyes. We can only wonder what he would've been coming up with now. But thank God we have what he left us. 🙏🏻❤

I was born in 1990. The Older album marked my childhood.
I'll never thank enough my mother, she introduced me to George's music. After his death, my mother passed away three years later.
I don't know why, but I like to think she is listening to him singing in heaven.

I turned 21 and I started learning about George Michael and getting into his music this year. He died when I was 18. After learning about him and listening to his music now, I wish I had known about him for the first 18 years of my life. Such an incredible man.

I agree. The press had a huge downer on George and Andrew in their Wham! days cos they wouldn't play the press's game - which is how come there are all the horrible stories about Andrew being a hanger on, etc, and when it became obvious to the moronic journalists that George was the best songwriter ever they were really grudging about it as they couldn't bear to admit they'd been wrong. It's very bad that one group of talentless idiots could have such power. That's at least one good thing about social media, that we can hear the truth about people.

Me too! I remember saying, "George is gay?!! Really?!" and my friends making fun of me like how I couldn't know...well, I don't think a lot of people knew. My gaydar was totally off on GM. He was just soo beautiful he couldn't be because he was going to marry me too! ;) He will be so missed, my stars!
