Freedom is number one
Sing my song
Somewhere beyond
Better place will soon come
Let's stop fussing and fighting
It's time to sing another song
Somewhere beyond
The place where we belong
Everyone, under the sun
Freedom is number one
Sing my song
Somewhere beyond
Better place will soon come
There's no rime, no reason
For all the pain we're going through
If the sky is too blue
For me and for you
Let's start something new
Everyone, under the sun
Freedom is number one
Sing my song
Somewhere beyond
Better place will soon come
Beyond, beyond, beyond...
Everyone, under the sun
Freedom is number one
Sing my song
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Beyond, beyond, beyond...
Everyone, under the sun
Freedom is number one
Sing my song
Somewhere beyond
Better place will soon come
Everyone, under the sun
Freedom is number one
Sing my song
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
Somewhere beyond
The lyrics of Michael Gray's song "Somewhere Beyond" are about hope for a better world beyond the current struggles and pain that people are going through. The repetition of "everyone, under the sun" implies a sense of unity and a common goal. The first verse talks about the importance of freedom and how it is the number one priority. The second verse urges the listener to stop fighting and start singing a new song, one that is focused on creating a world that is united and free.
The chorus repeats the message of hope and optimism, that if we work together we can create a better world beyond the pain and struggle we are currently experiencing. There is a call for something new and different, an emphasis on moving away from the old ways of thinking that have caused so much conflict and division.
Overall, the song represents a call to action for listeners to work towards a better world, one that is based on unity, peace, and freedom. It is a reminder that even in the midst of hardship, it is possible to focus on hope and create a better future for all.

This is my favorite video of all time. Love the innocence of the character and the simplicity if the track. So clean. Mr. Gray kills it each time. Anyone agree?

Life, it seems, never ceases to amaze me.
I have never seen this music video or heard this song before until tonight. But discovering it was made in 2007 reminded me a whole lot of what life used to feel like back then. I was 22 at the time this came out, and I definitely can remember most of life then feeling like how this music video portrayed everything: carefree, innocent, hopeful and surprising.
The world needs more of this than ever.
