Superb singing in a sumptuous acoustic! Thank you so much

Beautiful performance - but... what kind of moron has to bring their screaming baby to such a concert? So disrespectful and selfish.

@matthewnash851

Wow... what a disappointing comment. As a conductor, anyone of any age is always welcome at my concerts!

@jamesreed7671

@@matthewnash851 Perhaps worth pointing out to your audience in future in advance of them paying, because I certainly have no intention of paying good money to go to a performance which is ruined because some ignorant and selfish person brings a screaming child.

@matthewnash851

@jamesreed7671  I heard one noise in the performance. Is that what you consider screaming? I've conducted concerts on the continent - particularly Italty - where members of the audience have answered a phone call and started talking mid performance. So where do you want to draw the line exactly? Don't cut music off from children - making them feel like it's something they can't access just for your enjoyment (and I suspect you are in the minority here) is the only thing that's selfish here.

@jamesreed7671

@@matthewnash851 In any semi professional concert or better, they would simply remove that audience member for answering the phone. And for exactly the same reason that screaming kids should not be brought to concerts: why should paying audience members have their experience ruined because someone is too dumb or selfish to get a babysitter? If you want to do musical work for no charge and give free concerts which cost nothing to hear, then fine take the attitude that the audience needs to put up with whatever happens. But when people are paying for tickets to concerts, they have every right to expect that their experience will not be interrupted by some screaming kid.

@matthewnash851

We're unlikely to agree on this point, so I wish you well, and I wish you many happy concerts with no children.

Shouldn't they be wearing full battle dress in addition to the face coverings and at least 10 yards apart.
You can never tell when a few Covid mercenary viruses might take this opportunity to mount a surprise attack!! Not suggesting that the choir is taking its health and safety message to extremes!!!
