Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me

Here come old flat top
He come groovin' up slowly
He's got ju-ju eyeball
He one holy roller
He got hair down to his knees
Got to be a joker
He just do what he please
Check

He wear no shoeshine
He's got toe jam football
He's got monkey finger
He shoot Coca-Cola
He say I know you, you know me
One thing I can tell you is
You got to be free

Come together, right now
Over me

He bag production
He's got walrus gumbo
He got Ono sideboard
He one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knees
Hold you in his arm
'Til you can feel his disease

Come together, right now
Over me

Ah, come together, baby
Woo, ah
Come together, baby
Come together
Come together, oh yeah

He roller coaster
He's got early warning
He's got muddy water
He one mojo filter
She say one and one and one is three
Got to be good looking
'Cause he's so hard to see

Come together, right now
Over me, yeah

Shoot me
Check it
Shoot me
Shoot me

Come together, baby, yeah baby
Woo, yeah
You're a mojo
Come together, yeah
Let's come together, yeah
Let's come together, yeah
Muddy water
Spinal cracker, baby
Mojo filter
Early warning
With the spikeball
A walrus, woo
A walrus cracker
Woo, come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together
Mojo

Come together
You're a mojo filter

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Michael Jackson's song "Come Together" are a tribute to the Beatles' song of the same name. The opening lines "shoot me" are repeated throughout the song and it is believed that Michael Jackson used these lyrics to taunt his critics and detractors. The rest of the song features lyrics that are surreal and hard to interpret. They seem to be disconnected but still provide some meaning. The singer talks about an old man with long hair who is a joker and does what he pleases. He then mentions the man's feet and how he can hold someone in his arms until they feel his disease. The chorus of the song simply says "come together, right now, over me."

Looking at the lyrics, it's not immediately clear what it all means. However, it's believed that Michael Jackson was using the song to talk about unity and bringing people together. The duality of the lyrics, with their seemingly disconnected nature, is also believed to be a nod to the Beatles and their surrealistic lyrics. The song has been interpreted in many different ways, but at its core, it's a call for unity in divisive times.

No artist can come close to Michael, no one. Michael Jackson is on another level.

Edit:
1. Objectively, the original Come together will always be better cuz the Beatles carried out the whole creative process of the song.

2. I mean MJ as an artist was another level because he could compose, sing and dance to any kind of music and everything he did was a hit. Sorry if this upsets some people but it's a fact, not my opinion.

3. I didn't compare Michael to the Beatles. That can't be done. MJ was a solo artist and the Beatles were a band.

Relax.
