The Trial
Michael Kamen; Pink Floyd; Bob Ezrin Lyrics

The crown will plainly show
The prisoner who now stands before you
Was caught red-handed showing feelings
Showing feelings of an almost human nature
This will not do
Call the schoolmaster
In the end your honor
If they'd let me have my way I could
Have flayed him into shape
But my hands were tied
The bleeding hearts and artists
Let him get away with murder
Let me hammer him today?
Crazy
Toys in the attic, I am crazy
Truly gone fishing
They must have taken my marbles away
Crazy, toys in the attic he is crazy
You little shit you're in it now
I hope they throw away the key
You should have talked to me more often
Than you did, but no
You had to go
Your own way, have you broken any
Homes up lately?
Just five minutes, worm your honor
Him and me, alone
Babe
Come to mother baby, let me hold you
In my arms
M'lud I never wanted him to
Get in any trouble
Why'd he ever have to leave me?
Worm, your honor, let me take him home
Crazy
Over the rainbow, I am crazy
Bars in the window
There must have been a door there in the wall
When I came in
Crazy, over the rainbow, he is crazy
The evidence before the court is
Incontrovertible, there's no need for
The jury to retire
In all my years of judging
I have never heard before
Of someone more deserving
Of the full penalty of law
The way you made them suffer
Your exquisite wife and mother
Fills me with the urge to defecate
Since, my friend, you have revealed your
Deepest fear
I sentence you to be exposed before
Your peers
Tear down the wall
"The Trial" is a song that is featured in Pink Floyd's album "The Wall". The song's first verse is addressed to the worm who is the judge, tasked with passing a verdict on the prisoner who has committed an offense that is classified as showing feelings. The second verse is the prosecutor's argument where he blames the teachers and the artists for letting the prisoner get away with almost anything. The third verse is the judge's verdict where he describes the punishment that will be dealt with the prisoner. The fourth verse is the defendant's plea where he asks the judge to have mercy on him. The last line of the song is the tearing down of the wall separating the defendant from his past.
The song is a final judgment on the singer Pink, a rock star who has constructed a psychological wall around himself due to inner turmoil arising from his life experiences. The song references his ultimate fate and the subsequent redemption following the collapse of the wall. The lyrics exhibit a degree of paranoia, with the singer feeling betrayed and abandoned in his time of need.

@DOJ-See my comment on civil war by guns and roses? Before this tune on the album-Anither brick in the wall part three:
"I wanna go home! Take off this uniform and leave the show!"... And something asking that he has to know if he's been guilty all this time.
I'm an innocent man. 😥 I've paid for everyone else's crimes I had nothing to do with for nearly 30 years. I have 0 access to the courts! I have no due process. Victims rights? Its a joke if it wasn't so said as nothing in there for the most part for most of the time never applied to me. 😥
All I wanted was a job with a stable place with a suitable work environment. That was too much to ask. So me asking 60k and benefits, paying for my own relocation? Oh no!
Anywhere between 2 and 30 million for my execution? That was seemingly doable. 😥

Immortals
The weak must grow stronger.
They must punish the evildoer.
They need all sorts of tools,
and money and booze.
While the stronger need less,
and they exist in their panic.
They are soon overcome,
and their empires vanish.

@Mezzy..
I'm not sure how I watched this when I was young because I find it still pretty disturbing as an adult. But this is a masterpiece without doubt
@samiam7342
its the disturbing images that stay in your mind forever........there had never been any animation on that level with the exception of Ralph Bakshi's films...........
@Iionkit.
same, i watched this as a young child up until 9, my dad always put it on

When I was around 10, me and my family went to saw Waters' shows in Italy twice, around 2010. I rememeber sometimes looking away from the big screens and then having nightmares at home. But it was an amazing experience, and Floyd have always been one of my favourite bands ever for sure.. but that was terrifying 😅
@owlhousenerd5425
I've always loved it when I was young.
@SammehEatWorld

@jimhjortsberg2990
Check out his original concept art for the movie too someday. Disney censored the hell out of them
@Dogss6
Wait really? Dude that's awesome
@bdamasterdark
I thought he just did the concept art and someone else did the animation?
