He is best known for composing the scores to the video games Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Borderlands 3.

McCann's music incorporates elements of electronic, orchestral and traditional acoustic instruments, and often includes the use of world, choral, and solo vocals (primarily female, and primarily lyric-less). His scoring work, as well as solo and production work, bridges multiple genres including ambient, world, jazz, break-beat, post-rock, trip-hop, drum and bass, industrial, rock and pop.

McCann has received award nominations for his work in television, games & film, from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, IGN, Spike TV Video Game Awards, G.A.N.G., Hollywood Music In Media Awards (2008 / 2011), and G4TV X-Play. His sound-design work on the film It's All Gone Pete Tong also earned him two Genie Award nominations for Best Overall Sound Editing and Best Overall Sound.

Past projects include original composition work for MTV, VH1, Discovery Channel, The Gap / Old Navy, Paramount Pictures, Alliance Atlantis (various films / trailers), Showcase, Audiokinetic, Odeon Films, Ubisoft, NASA,[citation needed] the Canadian Space Agency, FUBAR (as supervising sound-designer), and various commercials and independent films.

Definitely one of my favorite songs. I, too, have been hunting for more stuff in this style. A couple of people worth giving a try that I haven't seen mentioned here: Zack Hemsey (don't be thrown off that a lot of his stuff is pseudo-rap, he also has instrumentals and trailer music. Try "Empty Room (Instrumental)," or "Mind Heist: the Birth of an Idea" for a feel). Another song to mention is Andrew Prahlow - "Rise from the Depths." Good luck!

i first 2 years ago that the music in splinter cell double agent was unusually good. I looked for the artist who made this and im still listening to his music. He is really better than most of the soundtracks artists

It's almost hard to belive he's the one that did the soundtrack for Deus Ex Human Revolution. The work is still quality, but most of the pieces are very low key and repetitive, avoiding clear themes like this one has. He DOES maintain a coherent..."feel"...across his works that I love.

@HotaruZoku Game scores have to be 'repetitive' because they are often queued up instantly, or are playing in the background while the player is doing other things. They are not supposed to be the main focus of attention. Regular songs can be used to do any number of things. His work on DX is absolutely brilliant and he will win awards for it, I'm sure.

You could give the band "curve" a go... and the artist "Amon Tobin" made a lot of music like this for the Chaos Theory soundtrack. (try The Lighthouse and Ruthless). The genre thats most like it (though not exactly) I think would be Glitch Hop- try "Animus Vox" and "A Dream Within a Dream". Oh and Clubbed To Death (forget the artist name but he's good) Normally I hate catagorising music, but it's a really bad feeling when you can't find more of the music you like... hopefully that will help :)
