He's My Rooftop
Mighty Clouds Of Joy Lyrics

For he's my rooftop in the rage of the storm.
He's my protector, there'll never be no harm.
He is the bread that sits on my table,
My god can do it, he's truly able.
Chorus
I'm gonna serve him,
I'm gonna serve him,
I'm gonna serve him,
Try my jesus, try him out,
He's worthy to be served.
Verse 2
(he's my mountaintop)
When i was down in the valley,
(he's my road to damascus),
When i lived in an alley.
(he's the good, good, shepherd),
That watches over me,
(he's my hope, he's my joy, he's my victory).
Chorus
Try him,
Try my jesus, he will protect.
Why don't you try him,
Try my jesus.
He'll be your rooftop in the raging storm.
Verse 1
Chorus
The lyrics to Mighty Clouds Of Joy's song "He's My Rooftop" speak about the singer's strong faith in God as their protector and provider. In the midst of a storm, God is their "rooftop," shielding them and ensuring their safety. The lyrics declare that there's never a need to fear as God is always watching over them, and they trust that their God can do anything as he's truly able. God is like the bread sitting on their table; indispensable and without him they'll lack, and without him, there'll be no harm.
The chorus emphasizes the singer's commitment to serve God with all their heart for he's worthy to be served. They invite others to try Jesus, giving testimonies of his faithfulness, protection, and ability to provide for all. The second verse mentions that regardless of the singer's situation, whether they are in the valley, alley or on the mountaintop, they rely on God's protection as their "road to Damascus" during trying times. He is also the good, good shepherd who watches over them, bringing them hope, joy, and victory.
In conclusion, the song glorifies and exalts God as the sole provider, protector, and savior of the singer. The lyrics encourage listeners to try Jesus, putting their faith in him, and trusting him to be their rooftops in the stormy times.
