Walk Around Heaven
Mighty Clouds Of Joy Lyrics

You will look for me and i'll be gone
I'm going to a place where i'll have nothing, nothing to do
But just walk around, walk around heaven all day
When i get to heaven i'm gonna sing and shout
Nobody will be able to put me out
My mother will be waiting
And we'll just walk around, walk around heaven all day
Dear lord above don't you hear me praying
Walk right by my side
Hold my hand when my way gets a little cloudy
I need you, i need you to be my guide
Every day will be sunday, my lord
Sabbath will have no end
And we'll do nothing but sing and praise him
Then he'll say well done
And my race, my race will be won
And i'll walk around, walk around heaven all day.
Walk around heaven.
I'll just walk around heaven all day
The lyrics to the Mighty Clouds Of Joy's "Walk Around Heaven" are rooted in the gospel music tradition, which often references the hope of an afterlife spent in heaven. The song speaks of the ultimate reward for living a good life, which is to be able to spend eternity in heaven. The first verse speaks of the singer's impending death and their belief that they will be happy in heaven, where they will have nothing to do but "walk around" all day. This is a metaphorical reference to the endless joy and peace that they hope to experience in heaven.
The second verse speaks of the joy of being in heaven and the singer's belief that no one will be able to take that away from them. They also mention their parents being there, and this is an emotional reference to the belief that loved ones who have passed on before will be reunited in heaven. The third verse is a prayer to the Lord to be with the singer as they journey through life towards heaven. They ask for comfort when things get tough and for guidance to help them make the right decisions in life. The final verse speaks of the eternal peace that will be found in heaven, where every day will be a Sunday and the Sabbath will never end.
Overall, "Walk Around Heaven" is a song about the desire for eternal life in heaven and the joy that this promise brings to believers. It is a song that speaks of faith and the belief in a better world beyond this one.
