Tan respetable
Que no navegaré
No navegaré
tan respetable
que no navegaré
no navegaré
no lo navegaré
The song "El Hijo del Capitán Trueno" by Miguel Bosé talks about the son of a famous sea captain, who himself turned out to be very different from his father. The son did not follow in his father's footsteps and instead became a poet. The son's unique personality and interests made him stand out from others, and he found himself spending long hours with whales and mermaids. He did not want to be a sailor and embark on adventures like his father but found solace and inspiration in the vastness of the ocean.
The lyrics also talk about the son's bravery and fashion sense. He wore a ring on every finger and had earrings in both ears. Although he appeared strange to others, he taught them that different was not necessarily bad. The son did not want to navigate the oceans like his father and found the vastness of the sea so awe-inspiring that he did not want to compete with it. He chose to enjoy the sea through his poetry and the company of the sea creatures, which he loved.
This song is about living your life on your own terms and not conforming to societal norms. It is a call for acceptance of people's differences, no matter how strange or unusual they may seem. The song's overall message is that it is essential to be true to oneself and find happiness in the path one has chosen.
