Bosé was born in San Fernando Hospital in Panama City, Panama, the son of the famous Italian actress Lucia Bosé and the legendary bullfighter Luis Miguel González Lucas. He is also cousin of Carmen Ordóñez. His Godfather was Luchino Visconti.
In 1971, Bosé started a career as an actor, participating in various movies. However, he did not make that many films, and in 1975 he decided a career change was due and started exploring his talents as a singer. By the hand of Camilo Blanes he recorded his first singles. Some years later Bosé signed a contract with CBS Records in 1977 and he remained with them until 1984.
On March 16 of 2010 he received the Colombian citizenship during a ceremony in the presidential palace, Casa de Nariño.

Se me rasga el corazón
Se me nieblan las razones
Letanías de un amor
Anochecen los recuerdos
Y me lleno de temor
Con espasmos me retuerzo
Letanías de un amor
Y me lleno de color
Soy la luz y soy tu espacio
Letanías de un amor
Algo vibra en mi garganta
Y es sonido vencedor
Algo grita y no se aguanta
Letanías de un amor
Oh!, oh!, Metrópolis
Oh!, oh!, Metrópolis
Cuando no hay mas horizontes
Que tu frente y tu perfil
Yo me pierdo en mi desierto
Y me voy pensando en ti
Si de pronto estoy viviendo
Cada historia que viví
Si mi sueño no me sueña
Es que estoy pensando en ti
Oh!, oh!, Metrópolis
Oh!, oh!, Metrópolis
(Repite estribillo)
In the song "Metrópolis," Miguel Bosé sings about his emotions being overwhelming to the point of causing physical pain. He speaks of his heart tearing and his thoughts becoming foggy, all due to the litany of a love he cannot forget. Memories darken as he fills with fear and spasm, tightening like a bow, yet there is something hopeful within him, and he is filled with color, acting as your light and your space. There is something in his throat that vibrates with a victorious sound, and he cannot help but scream out. The song's chorus invokes the cityscape of a metropolis, where horizons are limited and one can become lost in the desert of one's own mind. However, Bosé finds solace in his imagination, where he relives love's stories and can lose himself in thought of his desired partner.
The lyrics to "Metrópolis" speak to the all-encompassing nature of love and how it can tug at our heartstrings and cause us to become lost in a sea of emotions. The severity of the emotions that the singer describes in the song can be felt due to the double meaning of the metropolis. It can both be a place to lose oneself, but it can also be an inspiration for creativity and the possibility.
