Bosé was born in San Fernando Hospital in Panama City, Panama, the son of the famous Italian actress Lucia Bosé and the legendary bullfighter Luis Miguel González Lucas. He is also cousin of Carmen Ordóñez. His Godfather was Luchino Visconti.
In 1971, Bosé started a career as an actor, participating in various movies. However, he did not make that many films, and in 1975 he decided a career change was due and started exploring his talents as a singer. By the hand of Camilo Blanes he recorded his first singles. Some years later Bosé signed a contract with CBS Records in 1977 and he remained with them until 1984.

Ternura
Miguel Bosé Lyrics

Cuanto tiempo sin saber de tí
Me he echo viejo esperando el momento
De volverte a encontrar... ternura
Si supieras como te extrañé
Cuantas noches soñando despierto
Te volvía a llamar
Y no quise escuchar
Fui tan ignorante que no supe entender
El valor de un beso y lo eché todo a perder
Quise hacerme un hombre en una cama mayor
Y perdí lo único que tuvo valor
Tú, ternura, tus caricias, todo tu calor
Perdona... Yo no sé... si seguirás igual
Es posible que te hayan cambiado
El dolor y la edad... no me hables
Que quisiera... recordarte así
Yo prefiero llamarte, ternura...
Y no verte jamás.
In the song "Ternura" by Miguel Bosé, the singer speaks of a long absence and a longing for his lost love. He says he's grown old waiting for the moment to see her again and seeks to reclaim the tenderness and affection that they once shared. He laments the fact that everything is different now that she's gone and that he hasn't found anything to replace the deep connection that they had. He reminisces about the simple moments they shared and how he failed to appreciate them. He admits that he was foolish to take for granted the value of her love and that he lost everything by pursuing a shallow, empty version of love. He ends the song by saying he prefers to remember her as she was, with tenderness, rather than see her again and realize that she's changed and that they can never go back to what they had.
The song "Ternura" was released in 1987 as part of Miguel Bosé's album "Salamandra". Its distinctive sound was created by the use of a synthesizer and a guitar, which contributed to a soft, melancholic melody. The song was an instant commercial success and became one of the most popular songs in Spain and across Latin America.
