In 2000, they signed with the Beastie Boys' label Grand Royal. Mika Bomb performed in the West Country plugging their singles "Super Sexy Razor Happy Girls" and "Heart Attack". They fused Motown, New York punk, 50's garage rock and Japanese pop to form a distinctive, distortion-heavy pop sound.
2001 saw the release of their debut album "The Fake Fake Sound of Mikabomb" on the Damaged Goods label after Grand Royal went bust.
In 2005, they released their second album, "Hellcats", which features a cover of Holly Golightly's "Won't Go Out" with Mika and Holly herself performing a duet on lead vocals.
On December 10, 2005, drummer Ergi fell ill and was rushed to hospital where he was diagnosed as having septicaemia. He survived a week-long, near-fatal coma, but had both his legs amputated below the knee. There are several fundraising events in 2006 to help Ergi cope with the changes in his life, the highlight being a benefit gig at The Garage, Highbury Corner, Islington, London on May 15, 2006.
Sep 2, 2006 in Germany they appeared on Rock my Ass festival, Bamberg, Germany and that seemed to be the last gig for the long time.
In Oct 16 2010 Rotterdam, after 4 years break they had a re-union show in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as a part of Camera Japan Film Festival, followed by 2012 "come-back" on IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam), Feb 4.
Mika Bomb is now officially back in action and eager to play more gigs all over the world.

Get on your knees, baby please x2
Hey man, we got everything we need
And we know it and we love it when you get down on your knees x2
Let me tell you what the Mika Bomb is all about
The fake sound of a Fujiyama motormouth
And if she chew it she ain't never gonna spit it out
Hey man, we got everything we need
And we know it and we love it when you get down on your knees x2
Let me tell you what they say about my family
The squinting nits and the chinky pinko refugee
And all the dirty words are never gonna bother me
If you don't like it then you're gonna have to bomb me!
Hey man, we got everything we need
And we know it and we love it when you get down on your knees x2
Hey man, we got everything we need
And we know it and we love it when you get down on your knees x2
Get down on your knees
Baby please play with me
Get down on your knees
Baby please
The lyrics of Mika Bomb's song "Hey Man" are a combination of provocation, empowerment, and a strong sense of identity. The repeated phrase "get on your knees, baby please" is an interesting one, as it can be seen as both a playful sexual request and a command of submission. The following lines reinforce this duality as the band sings about their confidence in having everything they need and enjoying when someone submits to their will and gets down on their knees. The provocative language continues as the band sings about their dislike for those who criticize them, suggesting that they should put their words somewhere else.
The second verse of the song starts with the lead vocalist explaining what Mika Bomb is "all about". She describes their sound as "fake" and a "Fujiyama motormouth", which is an interesting choice of words. Fujiyama is another name for Mount Fuji, a Japanese volcano that is both respected and feared. By adding the term "motormouth", the lead singer is suggesting that their sound is both explosive and unstoppable. They don't care if people don't like it, and even suggests that they can "stick it in your mamma's mouth", reinforcing the sexual undertones of the song. The last lines of the song are also significant as the band proudly declares that any insults thrown at them won't faze them, and that they will not be silenced by critics.
