In 2000, they signed with the Beastie Boys' label Grand Royal. Mika Bomb performed in the West Country plugging their singles "Super Sexy Razor Happy Girls" and "Heart Attack". They fused Motown, New York punk, 50's garage rock and Japanese pop to form a distinctive, distortion-heavy pop sound.
2001 saw the release of their debut album "The Fake Fake Sound of Mikabomb" on the Damaged Goods label after Grand Royal went bust.
In 2005, they released their second album, "Hellcats", which features a cover of Holly Golightly's "Won't Go Out" with Mika and Holly herself performing a duet on lead vocals.
On December 10, 2005, drummer Ergi fell ill and was rushed to hospital where he was diagnosed as having septicaemia. He survived a week-long, near-fatal coma, but had both his legs amputated below the knee. There are several fundraising events in 2006 to help Ergi cope with the changes in his life, the highlight being a benefit gig at The Garage, Highbury Corner, Islington, London on May 15, 2006.
Sep 2, 2006 in Germany they appeared on Rock my Ass festival, Bamberg, Germany and that seemed to be the last gig for the long time.
In Oct 16 2010 Rotterdam, after 4 years break they had a re-union show in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as a part of Camera Japan Film Festival, followed by 2012 "come-back" on IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam), Feb 4.
Mika Bomb is now officially back in action and eager to play more gigs all over the world.

Yo Mika.
I said,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down,
I said,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love, say love,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love, say love,
Or love's gonna get you down.
I went walking in with my mama one day,
When she warn me what people say,
Live your life until love is found,
'cause love's gonna get you down.
Take a look at the girl next door,
She's a player and a down right whore,
Jesus loves her, she wants more,
Oh bad girls get you down.
Singing,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love, say love,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love, say love,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Mama told me what I should know,
Too much candy gonna rot your soul,
If she loves you, let her go,
'cause love only gets you down.
Take a look at the boy like me,
Never stood on my own two feet,
Now I'm blue, as I can be,
Oh love couldn't get me down.
Singing,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love, say love,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love, say love,
Or love's gonna get you down.
I went walking with my mama one day,
When she warn me what people say,
Live your life until love is found,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Singing,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love (say love), say love (say love),
Or love's gonna get you down.
Say love (say love), say love (say love),
Or love's gonna get you down.
Mama told me what I should know,
Too much candy gonna rot your soul,
If she loves you, let her go,
'cause love only gets you down.
Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, whoa-oh, lollipop.
Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, whoa-oh, lollipop.
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down,
Say,
Sucking too hard on your lollipop,
Or love's gonna get you down
The lyrics of "Lollipop" by Mika Bomb are open to interpretation, but at their core, they seem to be a warning about the dangers of indulging in excess. Specifically, the "lollipop" seems to represent any sort of vice or temptation that can distract someone from pursuing genuine love and happiness. The opening lines set the tone for the song, with the singer warning someone named Mika not to "suck too hard" on their lollipop, or risk getting brought down by love. The repeated chorus reinforces this warning, reminding listeners that love can be a powerful force that can either lift them up or bring them crashing down.
The verses of the song present various scenarios that serve as cautionary tales. The first verse describes a woman who is promiscuous ("a player and a downright whore"), while the second verse focuses on a man who hasn't been able to stand up for himself. Both of these characters seem to have been brought down by their own personal weaknesses, which they may have indulged in excessively. The bridge of the song suggests that sugar is another possible metaphor for temptation, with the singer warning that "too much candy gonna rot your soul."
All in all, "Lollipop" by Mika Bomb is a clever and catchy song that offers a simple but meaningful message about the importance of balance and self-control. By using a fun and playful metaphor like a lollipop, the band is able to convey a serious message without coming across as preachy or didactic.

Boum, boum
Boum, boum
Qu'importe l'endroit, le contexte
On a toujours un bon prétexte
Pour tomber nos "fruit of the loom"
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
Boum, boum, boum, boum, boum
