Your heart is in my heart
Hello
You've taken this too far
Am I just a piece you push in your board game?
Have you been laughing all day long ?
You like it when its hard for me to see straight
Save your goodbye
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
Go, go, go, go
Beg your pardon
You're standing on my love
Hello
Have you not had enough?
But am I just a piece you push in your board game?
Have you been laughing all day long?
You like it when it's hard for me to see straight
And make it go on and on and on and on and on
Save your goodbye
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
Go, go, go, go
Save your goodbye
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
Go, go, go, go
Yeah, it's my time to shine and my sword is true
You're back inside my mind, I can stop remembering
I say I'm chasin' dreams
But you know I've been runnin' away from
Runnin' away from you
Some sort of comfort in your pain (you)
I can't help from taking
No matter how I change there're be no escapin' go, go, go, go
I say I'm chasin' time
But you know I've been runnin' away from
Runnin' away from you
Save your goodbye (save your goodbyes, save your goodbyes, save your goodbyes)
(Save your goodbyes, save your goodbyes, save your goodbyes)
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go
You're everywhere I go (go, go, go, go)
Save your goodbye
(Save your goodbyes, save your goodbyes, save your goodbyes)
You're everywhere I go.
You're everywhere I go.
(Everywhere I go)
Go, go, go, go
The lyrics of Mike Posner's song "Save Your Goodbye" delve deep into the complexities of a relationship that has gone sour. The opening lines "Excuse me, Your heart is in my heart, Hello" indicate a sense of emotional entanglement, which is further emphasized by the repetition of the phrase "You're everywhere I go." The lyrics then shift to a darker tone as the singer questions whether he is merely a pawn in his partner's board game. The line "Have you been laughing all day long, You like it when it's hard for me to see straight" suggests that his partner enjoys seeing him in a state of emotional crisis.
The lyrics then take on a more reflective and introspective tone as the singer admits that he is running away from his partner as well as his dreams. The lines "I say I'm chasin' dream, Which you know I've been runnin' away from, Runnin' away from you" suggest that his relationship is hindering him from pursuing his dreams. However, there seems to be some sort of comfort in his partner's pain, as he admits, "Some sort of comfort in your pain, I can't help but take it." The song ends on a hopeful note as the singer openly declares that he is determined to chase his dreams and save his goodbye.
Overall, the lyrics of "Save Your Goodbye" are a powerful representation of the complicated emotions that one goes through in a toxic and unhealthy relationship.
