The song Secret Place by Miki Matsuhashi is about revisiting a special place that was shared with someone who is no longer present. The singer describes coming back to this place multiple times with the person they shared it with, but now they find it difficult to return without them. The imagery of a soft sunshine and tears falling in the rain creates a sense of nostalgia and sadness. Despite not wanting to remember this place and the memories associated with it, the person cannot help but feel the pain of their loss. The lyrics also suggest that trying to move on and heal from that loss is difficult as they continue to reopen their wounds and hurt themselves.
