The Los Angeles native began rapping at age 4 and immediately knew her destiny was to perform. Reminiscent of the late Left Eye, whom she admires, Jamila contributes her love of hip-hope to her music and sense of style, giving her a street edge with feminine appeal. "I've always loved old school groups like the Fat Boys oddly enough," Jamila shares, "The guy at the video store eneded up just giving me a copy of Krush Groove because it's my favorite movie of all time and I'd rent it every weekend." As one in a family of six, the animated youngster met Chris Stokes when she was just nine years old after her sister had appeared in an Immature video. She caught the producers' eye and he made her a member of his now defunct girl group, Dame Four. Hailing from a music family, Jamila's natural ability shines through, from her sense of style to her self-written rhymes. "I went to school for fashion, but singing and dancing are in my heart, that what I love and can't see myself doing anything else." Is also the sister of JhenΓ© Aiko.
Her debut album, Split Personality"was shelved. Like many female acts in TUG, her career went no where due to poor support from the label. She was co-writer on the project, Mila J collaborated with Cory Bold, a seventeen year old phenom who adds icing to the already sweet cake.
Mila J poses a quadruple threat as she can sing, rap, dance, and write. Her first single off her shelved debut album was entitled Complete produced by Cory Bold. Her current status is unknown.

Hide your heart or keep it from me, thief
Know you got some combinations
Know you know I'm on a mission
Listen here, baby listen
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Uhuh
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Uhuh
Know I love the way you mad
Yeah, you know I like 'em bad
Know I see you making moves
Know I like the way you do, me
Feelin' like you see right through, me
Know I love the way we get along
Bae you know you're my favorite song
Yeah you know when we get it on
Baby you know we're down
Just let me know where you at
Yeah must let me let me
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Uhuh
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Let me transform you
Uhuh

The song "Transform U" by Mila J portrays the idea of wanting to change or transform someone, particularly a romantic partner. The lyrics suggest that the singer sees potential in their partner but wants to mold them into their ideal person. The opening line already sets the tone for the song as it warns that in the streets, there is no room for love, indicating that whoever the singer is addressing should be careful of exposing their emotions. The subsequent line "Hide your heart or keep it from me, thief" further emphasizes this theme by suggesting that the singer wants their partner's heart but also wants to guard it.
The chorus of "Let me transform you" is repeated throughout the song with a backing chorus of "Uhuh". This repetition reinforces the idea that the singer desires to change their partner, and the pleading tone indicates that the singer believes that the changes will make their relationship better. The lyrics "Know you got some combinations, Know you know I'm on a mission" imply that the singer has observed their partner and sees qualities that could be beneficial if altered. There is a sense of control in these lyrics, with the singer taking charge of the changes they want to make.
The second half of the song repeats the same lyrics as the first half, further emphasizing the idea of transformation. The song ends with the same chorus and backing vocals, highlighting the idea that the singer's desire to change their partner is unwavering.
Overall, "Transform U" by Mila J speaks to the idea of wanting to change someone, even if it means changing fundamental components of their personality. The song seems to suggest that the changes could potentially be for the better, but ultimately it is up to the listener to decide if the singer's desire to control is healthy or not.
