Head out
Mild High Club Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
feeling wry, playin a fool in the paradise
i can see strange, you dont have to wait.
lately i've, looked through the bills for an alibi
but they dont show, easy guy, maybe you took too much now you're dry and on your own
welcome to my show.
if you'd like to know me well.
The lyrics of Mild High Club's "Head Out" speak to a sense of detachment and isolation from those around the singer. The first line, "lazy eye, looks that could kill when I satisfy, all I can take," suggests a feeling of discomfort or unease around others, as though they are judging the singer. The following lines, "feeling wry, playin a fool in the paradise / I can see strange, you don't have to wait," continue this theme of social disconnection, with the singer feeling out of place in their surroundings and unable to connect with the people around them.
The second half of the song takes a more introspective turn, with the singer reflecting on their own actions and motivations. "Lately I've looked through the bills for an alibi / But they don't show, easy guy, maybe you took too much now you're dry and on your own" suggests a sense of guilt or unease about something the singer has done, but also a sense of resignation to their current situation. The final line, "Welcome to my show / If you'd like to know me well," seems to invite the listener in to the singer's world, while also acknowledging that it may not be a comfortable or easy place to be.
Overall, "Head Out" is a reflective and introspective song that speaks to feelings of disconnect and isolation, both from others and from oneself.
