Amazing arrangement of the classical song Les filles de Cadix by Léo Delibes!

This album is the most underrated Miles Davis / Gil Evans Collab. I think it was the best of all of Miles' albums.

Horn backing of Mile's solo exquisite.

Terrance Ross

One of the best live performance. I watch it over and over again

And the sixth and final version of The Maids of Cadiz brings us back to where we stated yesterday honoring Miles Davis. I hope hearing the previous five versions for solo voice will give this Miles/Gil Evans rendering an interesting perspective.
This is the original mono version of The Maids of Cadiz. It was only recorded mono but later a re channeled for stereo version appeared.
This is very different in feeling from the performances we've just heard, most noticeably in tempo. It's no longer a bolero, but IMO what Evans had produced with his arrangement is absolutely gorgeous. The whole album of Miles Ahead is a stunning achievement and will certainly be admired as long as some of the greatest music ever is listened to.

""The Maids of Cadiz" is actually 3 min. + 41 Sec. even if all ten tracks run into each in a sequence of one song in the entire Columbia LP Album "MILES AHEAD"

This is an incredible track. So much of the musician essence seem to have transpired through. So many emotions must have been considered in the composition of the song. I love it so much!
