Based from my perception, I think this song is a mother-daughter story.
The song is based from the point of view of a mother and her daughter's name is Rosetta. It's about exposing her child into the "corrupted" world. Even so, she wants her child to find a dream and live life to the fullest.
But once she's been exposed, negative things started to swirm Rosetta until she drowned into them. The mother tried protecting her but it wasn't enough.
Once Rosetta was exposed to these things, she started being rebellious, that explains the lyrics:

I think it's the story of a heartbroken single mother that gives birth to a really desired child.
At first she is not allowed to keep the baby and she is going to give her in adoption, but after a second thought, she decides not to give her to anybody and keep Rosetta, who will become her stepping stone.
However, unable to give the child in the life she wants for her, probable because of poverty and/or mental issues, she starts developing paranoid thoughts and attacks the people around her and Rosetta, who are trying to get the baby child far from her because she is mentally unstable and are afraid the mother can hurt the baby.
You can even hear the sound of a shovel removing the soil as she screams "everybody everybody soon will be rotten", implying she has actually attacked and killed the people who claimed her to be mental.
For the mother, "corrupt" means "against me", so she will kill everybody who is willing to take her baby from her.
But the mother is unstable, so finally, she kills her own baby because that way, "no one, nowhere, nothing will take anything from her".
And then she tries to kill herself, in order to be reunited with the child, so they can be alone "only you and I". But she survives, and she stays lonely for the rest of her life, blaming her own daughter: "Nobody nobody nobody other than you".

At the beginning she's saying lively, lively, follow me! And by the end she's saying lonely, lonely, come back to me. Whoever guided Rosetta to what she thought was her dreams actually ruined and corrupted her. She realized her mistakes and is trying to get Rosetta back. It's very sad when you really think about it. Poor Rosetta.
