Honestly killed me inside how many of these godly 2012-2014 electro house and general edm artists just dropped off or changed to a point where they just sound like shitty pop music chainsmokers wannabes.
Not tryna shit on them of course, I'm glad to see them succeed but I cannot stand the new Louis the Child, or the new Virtual Riot. (Personal pref, don't shank me over it lol)
Then people like Fusk Asker who changed to Fusq who I fucking adored (fusk asker - bully <33) just vanished without a single trace
Makes me sad, I'm trying so hard to learn how to produce the songs from this exact era, as I desperately miss this era of electro.
None of the new stuff sounds nearly as melodic, or makes me want to move around like this. It just all sounds bad to me now compared to what they used to make.
