This Love Of Mine
Miller Frankie Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

This love of mine goes on and on,
Though life is empty since you have gone.
You're always on my mind, though out of sight,
It's lonesome through the day,
But oh! the night.
I cry my heart out, it's bound to break,
Since nothing matters, let it break.
I ask the sun and the moon,
The stars that shine,

What's to become of it,
This love of mine.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Miller Frankie's song "This Love of Mine" are poignant and heartfelt. The song describes the depths of a person's love for someone who has left them. The first verse conveys the idea that the love this person has for their former partner endures, even though they feel empty and lonely without them. The lyrics "You're always on my mind, though out of sight, It's lonesome through the day, But oh! the night" suggest that the absence of their loved one is felt acutely every moment, but most keenly at night when they are alone with their thoughts.

The second verse delves even further into the heartache this person is experiencing, as they describe crying their heart out and feeling like it's bound to break. The line "since nothing matters, let it break" is a poignant and powerful expression of the emotional pain they are feeling. The final lines of the song are a plea to the universe - they ask the sun, moon, and stars what will happen to their love. It's an acknowledgement that they are powerless to change the situation, and that their love for this person is so profound that they can't help but wonder what will become of it.

Overall, "This Love of Mine" is a beautiful song that captures the universal experience of heartbreak and the enduring nature of love. It's a sentiment that anyone who has experienced the pain of a breakup can relate to.

Oh what a voice!!!! I bet 9/10 people would swear this was a lost Otis Redding track ... I remember this guy blowing me away on BBC, 2's "rock goes to College (or "In Concert")in the 70's ...He would have been a world beater , better than Rod Stewart, Paul Rogers, and a great actor as well, if you're reading this Frankie, we love you man...you've a lot to be proud of.

Who would never cry to Mr Miller's music? I simply feel every emotion in his voice. He is so unique

@angelicfruitcake55

Frankie Miller has been my favourite singer since the days of The Stoics. He really is on a par with Otis Redding. Listening to him still reduces me to tears, such emotion in his voice.
