Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul
Frosty, the snowman, was a very happy being.

With a corncob pipe and a button nose
He had a corncob pipe and a nose made of a button.

And two eyes made out of coal

Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say
People say that Frosty the snowman is just a made-up story.

He was made of snow but the children know
Even though he was created from snow, children knew that he was alive.

How he came to life one day
Children knew that Frosty came to life one day.

There must have been some magic
Perhaps some magic was involved in his creation.

In that old silk hat they found
The silk hat they found probably played a significant role in Frosty's animation.

For when they placed it on his head
Once they put the hat on his head,

He began to dance around
he started to dance in a lively manner.

Oh Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be
Frosty was alive and kicking like the rest of us.

And the children say he could laugh and play
Children believed that Frosty could laugh and play, just like them.

Just the same as you and me
He was similar to both children and adults.

Frosty the snowman knew the sun was hot that day
Frosty knew that the sun was blazing hot that day.

So he said let's run and we'll have some fun
Frosty suggested running as an activity to have fun.

Now before I melt away
But first, they needed to have some fun before he melted.

Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand
Frosty and the gang headed downtown with a broomstick in hand.

Running here and there all around the square
They ran around the square, here and there.

Saying catch me if you can
Frosty challenged them by saying: Catch me if you can.

He led them down the streets of town right to the traffic cop
Frosty and his gang followed the street leading directly to the traffic cop.

And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler Stop
Frosty only stopped for a brief moment when the traffic cop commanded him to stop.

For Frosty the snowman had to hurry on his way
Frosty needed to hurry up as he had other things to attend to.

But he waved goodbye saying
As he left, he waved goodbye and said,

Don't you cry, I'll be back again some day
Don't worry; I will be back here again because he would come back another time.

Thumpetty thump thump, thumpety thump thump
As Frosty went away, the sound of his thumping on the ground was heard.

Look at Frosty go
Everyone observed Frosty's movement.

Over the hills of snow...
He went away and over the hills of snow he went.
