I remember hearing this for the first time when I was a teen in Syracuse NY in '76. There was a small, more sophisticated type of disco that was for more upscale bourgie folks (and wannabes!). People would show up at 1AM, drinks/bar had to close at 2AM and then just dancing and non-alcoholic after that. They played this song, Biddu Orchestra, and other smooth hustle numbers. We thought we were fancy! LOL
