La poesía es el elemento cohesivo entre la música y la letra cuyas imágenes están dotadas de elementos lúdicos, de un lenguaje honesto y sumamente personal, sin dejar de hacer referencia a temas comunes. Actualmente reside entre Nueva York y Puerto Rico, lugares desde los cuales expone su trabajo acompañada por un cuarteto de piano, contrabajo, guitarra clásica y batería. De acuerdo a la ocasión, alterna la instrumentación utilizando otros colores como el vibráfono, el acordeón o la melódica, el Rhodes y un pandeiro o un redoblante con escobillas.
En el 2002 decide exponer de una vez una serie de composiciones originales acompañándose a si misma con una guitarra en escenarios íntimos en los cuales logra consolidar una audiencia variopinta y llamar la atención de un sinnúmero de músicos y curiosos. Dicha gestión culminó en la producción, junto a Omar Silva, guitarrista de Cultura Profética, su primer disco como solista, MiMa a través del sello independiente MAMi Records.
