1. An instrumental post-rock band from Nebraska. Featuring a newly-solidified four-piece lineup and a heightened visibility following their appearance at 2018’s Post. Festival, Lincoln, Nebraska’s Minor Movements is in a way making their debut to the world with Bloom, or at least a proper re-introduction. For several years this was the moniker for guitarist Nic Brant’s compositions as a multi-instrumentalist, but as a fully fleshed out collective there is a fresh energy that can only be truly achieved by the meeting of artistic minds. Bloom is an appropriate title, as it opens itself to listeners during the transition into a season of new life, but also because it displays the blossoming of ideas and passions into something that represents the meeting point of the formative with the future.
2. Minor Movements are created by pianist and composer, Greg Hosharian and singer-songwriter, K'noup Tomopoulos (Viza, Neurobox).
The project is a pairing of classical piano with intense lyrical compositions. K’noup’s dramatic vocals escalade the emotionally charged pieces as if his voice were an extension of the piano keys.
K'noup was born in Kastoria, Greece, and raised in New York City.
